Horrible experience

"Used this site for some of my dog’s medications, which was okay. My dog passed away so I updated his profile on the site to reflect this, as I did not want to receive unnecessary reminders and emails about his medications. I continued to receive e-mails asking me to review his medications, e-mails reminding me to refill medications, etc. I contacted customer service to ask to not receive these emails anymore, as they are pretty painful reminders. I’m still getting these constant emails. Will go with a more compassionate company for my next pet. "

will never use again

"i had been going through them for my dogs medicine for about a year almost 2. it was two different autoships id get and it was always the same price. i got charged way more than i had ever gotten charged before and when i asked why they said “oh the pricing went up” so i went to check the price again with the autoship that i’ve ALWAYS done and it was the same price i had always paid for. when i told them this they still wouldn’t give me my full refund and said they could only give me $20 back, even though i said i didn’t even want my package anymore. just awful customer service and i will never be using again."

Ridiculously poor. What a waste of time.

"I tried to get a refill, got the prescription from my vet, mailed it to Allivet and then the string of emails began - we're unable to contact your veterinarian. So, I mailed the prescription again two weeks later. More emails to me - we're unable to contact your veterinarian. So, I called customer service. Voice mail hell! Finally talked to someone who simply repeated the inane feedback - we're unable to contact your vet. In frustration, I cancelled the order. This company is a joke!

Terrible customer service and policies….AVOID

"Apparently I was set up with auto ship for some stomach chews for my dog. I have a whole container at home because I gave my dog 1 and he got diarrhea. The same day I got the email I called to cancel it. They said they couldn’t cancel it and offered me a 30% credit. They had already charged my card. I was placed on hold 3x trying to cancel the auto ship and now I have to call back for a return label. They make it impossible in hopes you’ll give up and they don’t have to refund the money. Will stick with chewy in the future. Their customer service is top notch. "

Allivet is illegally charging sales tax on prescription drugs

"Allivet is illegally charging sales tax on prescription drugs. You can verify this by adding any prescription drug to the cart and then proceed through checkout. Prescription drugs are tax-exempt by law in every state in the US except for Illinois and Georgia. I contacted the merchant about the problem on 4/6/2024 and received a response from Allivet's representative, Quanella Evans. She insisted I provide proof of tax exempt status in order to avoid paying the illegal tax that Allivet is charging. Allivet has likely collected millions in illegal taxes that are not being paid to any state government. Moreover, they are defrauding their customers."

"Dreadful experience! The only thing ALLI=FRAUD did was charge my credit card. My order was never delivered, my questions were never answered, my enquiries never addressed, my time was WASTED trying to deal with their fools in "customer disservice," and I have been ripped off.

"I ordered several items some my dogs liked and some they hated. When I tried to stop the autoship on the items they did not like Allivet would not. I spent hours going through and clicking on the items and saying to stop them and it would only allow for the order to be skipped for a shipping. So I canceled the whole order and remade an order. Then to my surprise, I saw I was charged for the order I canceled. It was not bad enough that I was charged for all the items I did not want but when the order arrived all the items were not in the box, so I have been charged $88 + and $25 item times 2 was not in it. Their cancel any time is a complete lie. If you use a CC you will have to cancel your card to get the items stopped because they will continue to charge you after you tell them to stop. They could have canceled the order and refund me my money but the refused to. "

Buyer beware to steer clear of this sham of a company!!!

"I placed an order with Allivet a few months ago and paid $39.45. After realizing my order never arrived, I checked into the shipping confirmation details and this is what I found: Tracking Number: 200190289451663222287

"Label Created, not yet in system
A status update is not yet available on your package. It will be available when the shipper provides an update or the package is given to USPS. Check back soon."

Months have gone by and I have yet to receive my order and the USPS has yet to be updated with the shipment. Basically they never bothered to ship my order. After contacting Allivet to let them know I had never received my order they responded by giving me a $15 store credit. 1) Why would I be content with a $15 store credit after spending $40 on medication our cats never received and 2) Why on Earth would I trust placing another order with them while they never bothered to ship my previous order?

Take a look at their other reviews!!! I wish I had before trusting this company with my money and cats' medication!

Never got my auto ship prescription

"I was previously using Walmart until they switched us to Allivet. Never had an issue before. I called customer service to find out what happened to my auto ship. They had no idea. They said it would be sent out overnight and would receive it immediately. Never got it. Got an email today saying vet was sent second notification to approve meds. Vet said there was already refills on the prescription no need to approve it again. Going to search out another pharmacy. This one is not good."

Terrible customer service & autoship is a joke

"I received an email stating my autoship would ship on a certain date. The order didn't arrive. I called customer service and it hadn't even shipped, no apology or reason. The CS rep barely spoke English and was hard to understand. They said it would ship out expedited and arrive the next day. I verified that it would indeed arrive the next day because by now I was out of medication. 5 days later the meds finally show up. My horse went without meds for an entire week. I set up autoship so this wouldn't happen and allow several extra days of over lapping meds incase it arrives late. "

CUSTOMER SERVICE NOT REAL HELPFUL

"WALMART PETRX passed their business to ALLIVET, and naturally there would be some issues about transfer of prescriptions, etc., and customer service generally acted bored and failed to go the extra mile to make the transition as smooth as it could have been considering I was ordering about $700 worth of pet meds!!! I will not deal with ALLIVET in the future. I'd rather pay a bit more for prescriptions and receive more considerate, stress free customer service."

Worst Experience: DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY!!!!

"Ordered my vet medications hoping to save money on monthly expenses for 4 dogs & 2 cats. Submitted the order July 31, 2023 but there were issues with order and vet. Instead of contacting vet directly or me to resolve, all they do is send emails -1st attempt, 2nd attempt, etc, so if U need to be referencing daily.
If they really wanted my order (over $250) I would expect they would make better efforts to resolve issues between Vet and themselves, they keep whole oder idle (even the items with approval).
I would keep calling, most times the CSR had difficulty understanding & speaking English and could not even understand basic common sense issues such as price differences required for order. As example, vet required changing out one medication that was $30 difference but somehow the over-all bill was now being quoted as $50 - I kept pointing this issue out but the girl couldn't understand.
Another time I had to even go to vet AND also get Allivet CSR on the phone & did not leave until both parties promised all issues were resolved, next few days began getting more emails order on hold, 1st attempt, 2nd attempt, 3rd, 4th, etc.
By this time, this order is 3 weeks old, called again and the CSR promised, again, everything was ready to be sent. However, next day or so emails again starting stating order was waiting on vet approval. Would call vet they would tell me everything is correct.
Again, called, the CSR was someone who could not understand English clearly. While on phone, I began shopping on CHEWY (the vet recommended I place order there because they never had issues with them but regularly issues with ALLIVET). At this point it was end of August, 4 weeks into this ordeal so I canceled order.
Online with Chewy, ordered all required products, within ONE day the non-prescriptions arrived and the rest was at my home in less than 4 days!! Also, Chewy was cheaper.

DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME, MONEY AND SANITY WITH ALLIVET, awful, awful customer service and over-all experience!!!!

THE WORST EXPIERENCE EVER WITH AN ONLINE PET MEDICATION SITE!

"I placed an order with Allivet for my dogs, flea, tick and heartworm medication. My vet got back to them within a timely manner. It took them 3 days from when my vet authorized the medication to prepare it for shipping. After it taking them 3 days to prepare it for shipping, it has sat in their warehouse for almost a week now, and it still has not shipped. They were definitely really quick about taking the payment and charging my account for the cost of the medication. Their claim to have the 1-3 day free shipping is a joke.

I reached out to customer service to see as to why it hadn't shipped and they stated they didn't know why it wasn't pick up by the carrier yet. Even though they told me that they ship out daily through all their carriers. I asked if I could change the address in which they would be shipping the medication to, since they still had the package there. I was told they could not, that I would probably have to order another pack of medication to be shipped to the new address. I was sent out of town for work and my dog is being cared for by family in another part of the state. As of this date of this post I spent over and hour of my time either on hold trying to resolve the issue, and I will be refusing the delivery of the package if it ever does show up. When I asked to speak with a supervisor to try to resolve the issue, I was told that they were in meetings an that it would only be a 5 minute hold. It was about 30 minutes and still no supervisor or manager.

Buyers beware, if you are looking at the cost savings of this medication, I would not buy from them. The savings comes at a cost, and I was not willing to pay that cost. Putting my fur-baby at risk because of their inability to hold to their promises.

horrible customer service

"I have been getting my prescription from Wal-Mart Pet RX and they informed me that they are closing, and this company would resume my prescriptions as I had been getting them. When I received my first auto ship notification, I noticed that the pricing had changed. I was previously told that my pricing had been locked in for 1 year. Started this medication in June of 2023. I called in to customer service to ask why my pricing had changed and she asked for my phone number and stated its the same price you had been paying. I told her that it was not and told her that I had the receipts to prove it. She asked if she could place me on hold and I told her that was fine. She comes back and says that my pricing is good until December of 2024. I informed her that Wal-Mart did not charge me for shipping. She said sir there will be a $6.95 charge for shipping charges. I told her that my order was over $30.00 and that was the reason I was given free shipping from Wal-Mart. She then advised me that I could call back in next month and asked for the shipping charges to be waived. I had to argue with her and told her that your website plainly states that all orders over $30.00 ships free. She then places me back on hold and stats that she put a note on the account that expedited shipping will be waived. I certainly hope this is not what I am going to have to deal with on future orders."
