"Okay, so I did my research and chose to go with Allivet due to lower cost of flea pill for 3 month supply. The downfall of the whole process is, ONLY the vet that you currently get the pills from can fax or scan via email the prescription to Allivet. The pet owner is NOT able to send via fax or email. The owner has to drive to the vet to pick up said prescription and can ONLY mail it in to Allivet. I was trying to save money by choosing Allivet, but if I have to drive to my vet to hang pick of the prescription, because if the vet emails it to you, Allivet will not accept an email from the owner, so the owner can not forward the prescription and printing it from the sent email from vet to owner, makes it not the original prescription. So you either have to have the vet mail it to or go pick it up. I am not really saving the measly $20 Allivet would have saved me if I have to put so much time and attention and gas money going to vet to get original prescription. I'm sure after getting the service started, it may be a much simpler process. But frankly, I only wanted to do mail order to keep from having to go my vet's office every time. So much for that. I chose not to go through all the trouble and I will just keeping getting flea pills from my local vet. They can have my extra $20 so I do not have to go through the ridiculous process and have to wait on the time it takes Allivet to receive original in the snail mail instead of the owner being able to send it via email. Too much of a paper trail for times when electronic is where it's at. Stupid to me that Allivet will only accept mailed originals when ordering online is to save time and money. LOL what a joke. "
