Received reply from them stating that it 'should' have shipped, but that they would honor whatever I wanted. as this was a present for a friend, we purchased locally and asked Alphacraze for a refund on 07/04/07. On 07/06m received reply stating that they had initiated a refund that requires 4-7 business days to receive. On 7/18, I requested that they reopen the case as my daughter still had not received a refund. On 7/19, Kelley stated they would research the matter immediately and initiate another refund if one had not already been issued and asked that I contact them again if I had not received by 7/27. Beware of this company!"

It appears they've dropped off the face of the earth since then. Their e-mail and phone #'s are intentionally disabled. This is a despicable business practice, and I hope the people responsible for this company are JAILED. Who knows how many thousands of dollars they stole from consumers. This is despicable.
I saw one report that a woman had been bilked out of over $300.
I feel bad for ordering from them. I also feel lucky that I didn't get ripped off!"
"AlphaCraze has, without a doubt, the best prices on manga anywhere! With the $1.29 flat rate per order for media mail shipping, it is an all around great deal. Unfortunately, it does have some problems too. You have to search for each title via Yahoo's Shopping Search because AlphaCraze does not have a site with a browsable catalog. You also have to make sure you go to the AlphaCraze site for an accurate order status, because the one that shows on Yahoo! Shopping isn't correct.
AlphaCraze also needs to work on their order status system. For my first order with AlphaCraze, I ordered six manga titles, all recent releases. When I later checked the order status, it said that they were ALL out of stock and my entire order was cancelled. Since many people I knew were getting their stuff, I tried again with the same results. I then complained to AlphaCraze who tell me that the order was cancelled because of an issue with my card, not because the itme was out of stock! So I placed my order a third time, fixing the billing zipcode, and poof, all good. My order of 7 manga arrived today, and all was in perfect condition (and very well packed).
Now that the issue of why my orders were cancelled has been cleared up, I forsee using AlphaCraze as my primary manga supplier from now on. I do wish they would allow preorders, as it would make it easier, but for only $1.29 shipping media mail, doing multiple orders isn't a major hardship."

"These people are horrible. I ordered "Back to the Future" DVD trilogy for my husband for Christmas. When he opened up the box on Xmas day, we popped in one of the disks and it was blank...as were the other two. I was so angry but gave them the benefit of the doubt...hahahaha. I emailed them about this, I got an email telling me how to return the item. I did exactly as they said and about two weeks later, I still hadn't received a refund. I then got an email saying that my order had been shipped. I figured that they were going to replace the defective item...three weeks passed and I still hadn't gotten the DVD so I emailed them demanding a refund. I got one the next day, but they only refunded the price for the dvd and didn't include the return shipping like they promised. These people should not be allowed to sell anywhere."

I checked my order status to see what the delay was from only to find that my order was listed as "cancelled/out of stock". Well, GET IT IN STOCK! When I purchased an out-of-print DVD which was featured, seller confirmed its sale to me, charging my credit card on 7/22/03 and stating that the order would ship by 7/21/03. Then, perhaps after learning the item could sell for much more, they did not contact me again. I first contacted Seller on August 7 to inquire about my purchase and they then replied: "Please accept our apologies for the delay. Unfortunately this item has gone out of stock. Although we strive for 100% fulfillment there are times when items become unavailable." (Of course it was unavailable and gone out of stock ...it was up for sale on half.com. and sold to me.) I attempted to dispute the matter with them, and could not communicate through their site because I did not have an order number, and I was not their customer.
