"2 weeks ago I ordered a 460 watt power supply. Amamax sent me one that was thrown in a box with no information and a bunch of shredded paper (poor packaging). The psu's label said nothing about 460watts ... instead labled as 550 with an output of 350 (contradictory!). Also the psu was obviously tampered with, as it's warranty sticker was sliced ... makes me wonder if I had unwillingly purchased a refurbished power unit. The power unit didn't even work when I installed it. Bad luck??? ... I've never had this happen from any other online company. Now .. on to the fun stuff.
Amamax's contact information on their website was clearly wrong. Many attempts at sending them RMA information were returned as failed attempts. I called and asked them what was up .. the person on the phone said that the address was .com ... not .net as it stated on the site. If it takes a customer to spot such a major flaw in a companies relation with customers ... then it's my opinion that such a company hasn't the faintest understanding of the meaning of "customer service". Even with the corrected email address ... I have YET to hear from AMAMAX. I continue to get emails from misc100.store.yahoo.com saying the message was returned. I assume that I'm going to have to call again and hound them for a credit to my account like so many others have. The cost of shipping should also be payed by amamax ... but once again ... this too is not provided by amamax. This company is a fraud ... they cheat customers and take them for idiots. STAY AWAY FROM AMAMAX!!!!!!!!!!!! PRICEWATCH USERS YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!!!!!!
and a note to readers ... If you have seen some of AMAMAX's replies to comments here on resellerratings.com, you will notice a hint of sarcasm which is not only an understatement on my part, but is also extremely unprofessional and amature of them. Not appropriate Amamax.
