"I have been using Amberen for about 3 years now and I absolutely love it and recommend it to all my pre-menopausal friends. I even told my doctor about it so he could recommend it to his patients who are experiencing pre-menopausal symptoms. Thank you Amberen for contacting me in reply to my review.
I understand now a lot better why there is a 90 day off period. It is nice to know that it is to give the body the time to get used to the pills. If I ever feel I need Pre-Menopause medication/relieve, I will highly consider to start on Amberen again and will just start taking the pills again as soon as my symptoms come back in my off time.

My first review is below.

When I started on the Amberen I was happy that one by one my symptoms started to fade when I was on the second week. I slept great and I had no mood swings and the vaginal dryness and hot flashes also faded
I felt good about myself had energy, lost a tad bit around the waist and felt rested.
Every once in a while it seemed like I had lower back pain other symptoms as if my period was coming up but that never lasted long and I was still happy that it outweighed the horrid pre - menopause symptoms I had been dealing with for months.
Then came suddenly the 90 day off period...
Yikes... enough said.
The first 30 days I did sort of okay... till one by one my symptoms started to return and on 45 days off I was in full swing of gaining around the waist again, moody, low energy and I would be awake for hours during the night.
Also... I started to really get down on myself. And all this barely missed and came after my romantic 3 days away with the hubby. (it could have ruined our weekend).
Low self esteem and not feeling good at all was the worst.
Not to mention... the vaginal dryness was as bad as a horrid yeast infection!
Since I had read everything on Amberen I knew that it was too soon to start on Amberen and I only got half way the off period. With still approx. 40 some days to go...
My husband felt so bad for me (and the rest of the family) that he looked into another product. All herbal and within 10 days of taking it I felt like a new young woman again! I have the glow in my eyes back and my face looks happy and shines. All symptoms are gone.

Even though I liked Amberen when I was on the pills. I was feeling very poorly, sad, and down when I was in the off time.
I will not take Amberen again because of the awareness that their product can not be taken all the time/every day.
If it was not for that it would have been a wonderful product for me.
