“Hi! Glad to hear you like the sample! Just like with any natural product there can be varying shade differences between lots explaining why your sample might be a little darker. Your sample should also have a sticker on the back that specifies which dye lot of flooring that sample was cut from. With this dye lot control number, we can assure you that the final floor that arrives at your doorstep will match your sample, instead of some wildly different color. "I can’t say anything about the actual quality of the product because I have not received any. I placed my order for bamboo flooring in June, knowing that it would take a couple of months to get it. The summer passed, and I called close to the promised August delivery date I was told that it would take another month because of shipping container shortages and “It is on a boat from China now”. I scheduled a week of installation around the new delivery date, which was going to be next week. When I just called to confirm, I was told that the delivery has been moved to November. “It’s beyond our control. Nobody should have told you that it was on a boat.”
Since placing my order I have received no communication at all from Ambient. I understand that there are shipping issues but I did expect to be notified of changes so I didn’t have an installer pointlessly schedule a week on his calendar. Before placing my order the Ambient service was great. But if it take 5 months or more with no communication I can’t recommend this company. "
