"Despite all the other positive reviews, my experience has not been very good so far. I placed an order in early November with my credit card registering the charge (over $2K) on November 6th. It's now almost the end of the month and the machine is still not with me.
I've had no replies to email since the order and so I've had to make a series of international calls. I did speak to them and have had been told various reasons for the delay. On each occasion I have been assured that I will get an email with the FedEx tracking number by the next day and so far, I've had nothing.
Yesterday (November 29th) I made another call and was told the box was still finishing testing (actually the previous week, prior to Thanksgiving, I was told testing was complete, some good cpus had been identified and the box would ship that week). After that I got another call back to tell me the box had just been shipped and I would get the tracking number by email.
Well, no tracking number was received. If it wasn't for the other positive mentions for anysystem.com around the 'net, I'd be convinced it was a scam and I've been robbed! :)
I'll wait a few more days but if I still have no box, I guess I'll have to contact my credit card's disputes department to get my money back.

"A SUN Enterprise 3000 in my home network cheerfully experienced an I/O board failure during the annual shut-it-down-and-vacuum-out-the-dustbunnies ritual. In a panic, I scoured the web for a vendor who might have a replacement board for this (somewhat outdated) piece of hardware. Came across 'AnySystem.com' for the first time.
I placed the order over the phone, as the downed server was my primary mail server (making E-mail based confirmations somewhat difficult to receive w/out having to set up an external web-based mailbox). The sales rep understood my pain, connected me with a technical staff person to confirm the part I selected would suit my needs (I'd already diagnosed the problem, but still, this is a nice courtesy to extend -- particularly if less technical people are doing the buying), and called me back promptly to confirm shipping details. The order was placed smoothly, and I received it a day sooner than expected -- and (ground) shipping was free. The price, also, was exactly what I'd expect to pay for an older, refurb'd part -- other vendors were charging 5-10 times the amount (no, this isn't a typo) due (perhaps?) to the unavailability of parts for this older class of machine.
They even included a foam logo'd ducky in with the shipment.:)
Pros: Price, friendly staff, correctness of order, prompt shipping, good packing job, rubber ducky.
Cons: Shipping could not be settled on the phone while placing the order (rep had to hang up and call back with shipping info), "well-packed" box bigger than some third-world dwellings, no E-Mail confirmation sent to alternate E-Mail address provided.
(The packing job is only a problem if you want rush shipping -- it dramatically raises the overnight shipping costs. It _does_, however, protect the contents well, and they do offer free ground shipping, so it's really only an issue if you need the part *NowNowNow*. The lack of E-Mail confirmation is similarly forgiveable, as it was a phone-based transaction so they could have gotten the address wrong. Nothing catastrophic here.)
Overall: Pleasure to do business with them, will be a repeat customer."

"From Feb of 04 When I bought a insanely large and complicated SUN server, (Think E10K), with NO knowledge of what I was getting into. (Think tech-hardware-lust to the extreme) the folks @ anysystems have given me support above and beyond my wildest imagination. (When a sales guy delivers parts @ 01:00 in the A.M., this is special. "I purchased a Sun Ultra 30 with 20" monitor. If memory serves, I requested the 3-day shipping, but when I checked the order status two days later it showed up as still being unfulfilled. I contacted customer service and explained that I needed it delivered asap. The CSR I spoke with, Regina, apologized and arranged to have the order shipped overnight. True to her word, everything showed up the next day. All items were packed extremely well, and everything was in excellent condition coming out of the box. Four months later it's running like a charm without any problems whatsoever. If you're a true geek, give AnySystem a try."
