"Smart battery was as simple as apple pie . Battery slid in and connectors went together fine . Great care was taken in the packing of the item from Apex , BUT , yes here it comes ... While mounting the smart battery case to the floor of my boat , the cheap plastic screw downs and the cheap plastic cinch all broke on me at 3 a.m. , yes it was a late night and that was my final task of the day/night . I was perturbed to say the least . I just finished cleaning 3 carbs and put it all back together when this happened . For such an innovative product , I cannot believe they used cheap plastic hold downs and cinch , I had to impovise and screw through the strap using metal brackets right through the strap to prevent any possibility of theft of a $100 battery for the night . Now I have to take another look for an identical strap and metal hardware . I wrote ApexBattery after dinner at 5:00 this morning and told them how these pieces just snapped like dead twigs . Awaiting e-mail response from them on Monday most likely , and yes I took several pictures to prove it . Besides for strap and hardware , I give the box a 5 star rating ."
