"Wonderful from start to finish! The sofa is exactly as shown, a bit more peachy pink in certain lights but beautiful! Nice and firm seat cushions and very comfortable. All seat cushions upholstered both sides and removable. It seems to be very good quality. I ordered my Emil Quartz sofa on a Monday, got an email Tuesday that it had shipped; received an email on Thursday with a choice of 3 delivery dates (Sat, Sun or Monday); chose Saturday; got a phone call Friday to narrow it down to a 3 hour window on Saturday and an email plus phone call on Saturday when they were on their way!!! Who knew!! This never happens with phone or cable haha!The delivery fellows were pleasant and polite and mentioned they have very few returns with this company. My husband put on the legs in 15 minutes just in time for me to celebrate with a glass of wine enjoying our new sofa exactly 6 days after ordering! My first time ordering a sofa online was so easy and I’m really pleased. Just make sure you read all the reviews of the sofas - so you know what to expect! Would recommend them!

"Horrible! I ordered Oxfard black sofa 8 months ago. Once I was able to afford another $2,000 black oxford couch, I bought another one to match the one I have. Except, they gave me a gray couch. It does not match the black I got. Customer service will not give me a new one. They said "What may be making the new Sven look less rich in colour is that it's brand new and the oil coating on the leather itself may be a little dusty" This is far from the truth. One is black the other is grey. I would attach a picture for all to see but I can't. I will be happy to remove this review once I get the couch I ordered. "

"I had a wonderful experience with article after a hellish experience with Joybird. I was traumatized after a big couch headache with the other company and article was clear and precise from the start. I ordered my couch and got a delivery email the following day saying they were ready for delivery and asking me to confirm the date. I quickly realized I had put the wrong zip code so I called the number enclosed and was in contact with a real human within seconds who quickly corrected my problem and ensured me this would not affect my delivery. I got the couch in two days from delivery, the team unpacked it and removed the garbage and we are so happy!! Quality is wonderful, such craftsmanship in the piece. Happy!! "The ordering and financing process was absolutely easy and quick, and I was impressed with the turnaround from order to shipment to Richmond. The contracted delivery service was the lone negative for me, they weren't punctual and did not inform me of the delivery time change until after the window they provided had passed, and I had to ask them for that update. Did not help that they showed up to the wrong address despite being given the proper one, or that they were plain rude. That happens, the real positive was the furniture, which has always been stellar from y'all. Looking forward to purchasing an armchair from y'all in the near future--thanks again!"

I can also assure you that our team were working with the best intention of addressing your problem. Our leathers do have a protective wax applied in the factory to ensure they are in great condition when they arrive. Sometimes this does have the effect of muting dark colors, but does fade over time as the leather wears in (and the wax is absorbed). Having seen the pictures you supplied, I can understand how you arrived at the conclusion that the new sofa was not the correct color, but assure you the team was in no way attempting to mislead you.
