"Over 6 hours in dealership, my sales person Sherohn was helping 3 other customers at the same time so I never had his full attention. The finance guy filling in Dan was a really nice guy but after waiting over an hour for a deal I received a 10% interest rate with an 800 FICO so the dealer mark up was extremely aggressive. I signed paperwork stating I would put $5k down and an hour later all the finance paperwork was accidentally written up with only $2k down. I couldn’t afford to wait any longer and he said he would have to redo everything so I said I would refinance elsewhere for a better rate anyway rather than wait. Car detailing stated they could easily remove interior sticker tape on car. An additional hour of waiting the vehicle was parked and they were only able to remove half of it. I literally drove away with a car with peeling off stickers on the inside. Vehicle also had an accident that was not disclosed by dealer or sales person and paperwork for the accident repair was right in the glove box of the car. Including private information on the previous owners full address, name and contact information putting the original owner at risk in addition to myself at risk for purchasing a car that’s been in an accident that was not disclosed at full asking price. Extremely dissatisfying and untrusting of this dealership. Buyer beware."
"I had identified a specific car I wanted on the website. Once I contacted a sales rep he expedited the transfer of the car from one location to his location so I could come and see and test drive. I felt no pressure to make a deal and was very pleased with the easy approach, The sales rep made sure the vehicle was detailed and was ready to go. "I have to admit, my expectations were low due to the reputation of used car lots. This was different. In fact it was a better experience than the new car dealership I was looking at for a similar car. They wouldn't give me any warranty once I drove it off the lot (it was a different brand than the dealer sells). Auto Lender gave me a six-month bumper-to-bumper warranty, so I was comfortable with the purchase. The car was a better value, too, and the Auto Lender salesman, Anthony, was a pleasure to deal with."
"I’ve purchased 4 cars from auto lenders over the years and I like the no haggle pricing. The overall experience is better than most car dealerships. They had the car I wanted, shipped it to the location that I wanted, and I ultimately fell in love with the car.
Here are the problems I had.
1. The car was purchased by auto lenders from another state and was not inspected in NJ. The car had a tinted windshield when I purchased it, and I could not get it to pass NJ inspection (I went to both state inspection and attempted to pay to have it inspected at a private garage). Neither option was successful, and I still don’t have a car that passes NJ inspection. When I called, they told me all they would do is cut the tint or remove it even though I purchased the car and want it with the tint as purchased. Needless to say this is costing me time and money when I’m already spending a lot with auto lenders. I think auto lenders should be responsible for getting the inspection sticker and re-tinting the windshield if need be.
2. My plates and registration were sitting at the dealership no call or indication that they were in and the temp tags were set to expire.
I got the car I wanted which is positive but now I will have to cut my tint and pay to redo the tint after being sold a car that doesn’t pass NJ inspection
