"I recently purchased a 8wt switch fly rod combination. I received the kit and was disappointed to see the size of the reel is a 7/8. The problem with this is that when you have an 8wt switch or spey rod the reel should be the next size bigger 9/10 to balance the rod and to be able to hold a long running line of backing to handle the elusive steelhead. So I had to purchase a separate 9/10 reel to be able to use my new fly combo with ease. Overall the experience was good, price was right, and I received it within 4 days. I just wish that the switch or spey fly rod kits came with an option of having a larger reel put on the order. They would do well to change this. Tight lines."
