"Bought a dark navy blue backdrop and received a very light backdrop. Contacted Backdrop outlet and they insisted that they sent the correct backdrop, even after I sent photos. After agreeing to take it back, they stalled around for about two and a half months with providing the return details. Finally, I was able to return the $250 (w shppg and tax) backdrop with all the correct information on the outside, as instructed (btw, they do not provide shipping costs to return it, that $35 is on you), and then claimed that because it was around Christmas time, the package was lost in their warehouse, but they would find it and take care of it. More stalling, and then silence. No responses from any emails. By the time I figured out that they were not going to honor their end of the deal, the twelve month statute of limitation had gone by so I could not file with the BBB and I was screwed out of close to $300. Crappy backdrop and even worse customer service. Images below; first is what I ordered, second is what I got. I verify that I have documentation to back up all that I say."

"As a professional portrait photographer, I use backdrops all the time. I learned about this company through a Facebook post and thought I'd give him a try because it seemed the prices were very good for something of such high quality. Boy was I wrong. You definitely get what you pay for. Actually, in this case, you get worse than you pay for! Over the last 6 years I have bought several backdrops from them. I have been disappointed all but once so I finally unsubscribed and decided I was never even reading anything from them again. I was done. I should have remained that way. I got a notification that my credit was about to expire so I took one more look. I placed my order and got it any reasonable amount of time but it is nothing like what I ordered. I order something medium gray and textured to look like an asphalt road to go with my little antique gas station set but what I got is a green tinted leafy looking background. It doesn't look remotely what like what I ordered. No communication from them other than a promise to communicate with me. Not acceptable. I promise you that you will be disappointed if you order from this company! I will also tell you that their products aren't that good anyway. They do not photograph well unless you use a super shallow depth of field (like no greater than F 2.8) AND separate the subject at least 6 ft from the backdrop."

"I ordered from Backdrop Source in May. I was sent a tracking code which showed the item reached the UK. I waited to receive a customs invoice but didn't get one and didn't receive the item. I was patient as I put the delay done to lockdown. When I contacted the company I was advised to wait until the item was returned to them to get a refund. The item was signed for b
y them in early September and they have not refunded me or re shipped the item and the customer service team is now ignoring all my messages. They have taken £92 from me and I have received nothing. Daylight robbery!"
"August 2019, I ordered a backdrop and had to cancel because it was taking too long. I asked for a refund and got an email it would be processed but never checked. December 2019, I tried them again but had to cancel in January 2020 as it would not get to me on time for my travels. I cancelled and once again got an email that a refund would be processed. I never got a refund till this very moment. I went back to check my bank account for the August purchase and realized they never issued a refund as well.They are fraudsters!"
"I ordered 2 backdrops and 4 floor mats in mid-December 2019. I got 2 floor mats delivered within a month. Then nothing..............finally in mid January, I received one of my backdrops. It had purple splotches on it. It was too late to send it back. I just had to edit the splotches out. I emailed them about the other items in the order and their response was that it was a rebatch, but didnt explain what that meant. A few more weeks passed and I got a shipping confirmation on the "last of the items in my shipment", which I took to mean my other backdrop and 2 floor mats. The backdrop came but not the floor mats. I emailed once again amd was told that they were in production and would be shipped the next week. Finally 2 days ago I got an email saying that they had shipped. Today, I got a delivery notice email. It listed the 2 floor mats that I ordered and even had pictures of them. When I got home, there was only 1 floor mat here and it was the wrong size and print. How much more incompetence am I going to have to endure?! Its now March 5 and I still dont have a complete order. I will never order another thing from them!"
"I have ordered from this company twice. Hoping that the horrible shipping and customer service was just a one time event. Unfortunately, it was not. I ordered 6 large backdrops weeks ago and was told they would ship in a little over a week. Over four weeks later they still haven’t shipped and they say they might ship next week.
Their products are nice but not worth the wait. They take your money right away and do not deliver the product as advertised.

"I ordered 2 floor vinyl backgrounds January 12th and after 2 weeks I checked the status of the order and it showed unfullfilled. 2 weeks later, I emailed them to find out the status because I had a shoot within a couple weeks that I would need this for. I emailed 4x within 10 days and each time was an excuse: "we're running behind," "I'll see about rush shipping", "It will go out end of the week", etc... It's now been over a month now...still no background and no indication of shipping. I've ordered from them years ago and it was great service then, but now everything has gone down hill. Also, in that same time frame I ordered backgrounds from another company and have already received those orders within 7-10 days of ordering them. Unless Im in no hurry for a product I won't be ordering from backdrop outlet again. "
"I placed an order on October 13 and when I hadn't received it on November 4th, I emailed to cancel it. The person who responded, said no problem and asked for the order number. I sent it and then waited, and waited. Many days and a number of emails later they told me their records said it was cancelled even though when I log in it shows as fulfilled. I emailed again today to try and find out what happened and I get a strange message that said "by Friday, two packages and the weight, no pickup required and use either Fedex or UPS." I emailed back that since I cancelled on November 4th, and the product is still in Oceanside California, I DON'T WANT IT. Never will I deal with this company again, and I'm not impressed that anyone would recommend them. Stay far, far away from this company. "

"On January 2, 2019 I placed an order for 2 solid colored Diamond cloth backgrounds. It is now February 24th 2019 and after several attempts to email and call (never got through on the phone) Was told one of the backgrounds was on backorder via email. I have not received my product or a refund. I feel as though a once ago reputable company has become a total scam. At this point I have to reach out to my credit card company for a refund.
They should be put out of businesses!"

I purchased a backdrop and after waited almost for about 3 three months patiently I couldn't get any update. I asked for a refund it has been two weeks now no money back on my account and no body is answering the phone after calling customer service several times. It was my first purchase and my last one. "
"A zero rating is what this company needs but I do not have that option. It has taken me over a month to finally have the rest of my order sent out. I am writing this review before I have actually received the order so there may be another review is the product is not up to standard. I placed an order on July 7th, 2018. I did not get any confirmation that the order was processed after 12 days so I contacted them. I was told that they were running a promo and they had a lot of orders coming in. I asked them what the typical turn around on an order is and I was told 7-10 days. Which is what it says on their website. I was told the order would be going out the following week. So the following week I noticed online that my order was still in production, so I called them up on July 21st and I was told that the order would be going out that day. (By the way every time I have called them I am on hold anywhere from 20 minutes to an hour). Again, I check the status of my order on July 23rd and it still is in production. I call again and I am told that the order would be going out the following day. It has now been 16 days since I placed the order. I wait until the 25th to check the status of my order and sure enough it was not sent out and it is still showing in production. I again call and they said they were having issues with part of my order and they tried to print it and it did not come out correctly. I was assured that it would be going out that day! I have heard that story before. Finally I find out that the order was shipped on the 27th. Oh yeah! But when I received my order on the 30th it was only part of the order. So I call (waited on hold for 48 minutes) I asked if the order was shipped in multiple packages because I received 2 packages but not all of the items were there. I was told that the cube and covers were shipped separately. Ok, so I checked online and noticed that those items still show they are in production. I call back and I was told that they tried a couple of times to print them but they did not come out correctly. I asked when would they be printed correctly, I was told they would be going out the following day, July 31st. I noticed on the morning of August 1st that it was still showing in production. So, again I call and they told me that they were going to get this ordered completed for me. On August 3rd still no sign of it being completed. They told me that the production manager would be contacting me. Never happened.
So at this point here are the reasons that the order was not completed.
1. It did not print correctly
2. It is too hot right now in California and the transfer is too sticky
3. It printed out too small.
I have asked several times to have a manager or someone to call me. I asked the staff that answers the phone to have a manager to contact me and I have used their online form for a manager to contact me. Guess what? I never had a manager email me or call me. Great ways to do business.
So I August 9th I finally had blown my top because it still showed the order in production. I called, kept my temper in check and asked what was going on. I was told they were still having issues and that the product manager would call me. I needed these items over a week ago so I went to an antique mall and found the props I needed for the backdrop. I spent $50 which is under half of what the cost of the items I was waiting for from Backdrop Outlet. Satisfied that I can now go forward, I called them back when I got home to ask for a refund. I was literally on hold for 64 minutes. Finally, someone answered and I gave them my order number and told them I would just like to have a refund at this point. No mangers would call or email me and you have stated 7 times that my order would go out that day. Guess what? I was told that I could not have a refund because in the time I was shopping at the antique mall and the time I was on hold my order was completed and was packaged up and setting in the bin to be shipped. OH MY GOSH ARE YOU KIDDING ME! I don't need the items now. I asked if they could be shipped out overnite since I have been waiting so long and she told me USPS doesn't offer that. What! So now I have products coming ( I will believe it when it arrives) that I don't need anymore.
Through this entire nightmare not once did anyone contact me and try to make things right! That is the most disappointing aspect of the entire ordeal. Had they tried a little with customer service I may not be writing this review. If I handled my customers this way I would be out of business. When I offer a product and it does not come out right I work on it until it is complete. Not let an entire month go by!!!"
