"do not buy from these people. ordered my plane on jan.5 and received it on the 2o th. both servos were not working had to jump threw many hurdels to return the product and it cost me $10.00 came back on feb. 3 with both clevises broken.now have spent 5 hours in the chatt and have been cut off 3 times with nothing solved. by telephone the wait is longer if you ever get through. once they have your cash they don't want to talk to you. bad business practice and worse customer relations. at this rate they will run out of customers soon"
"My first plane from BH was an F-6F. I ordered it on-line a couple of years ago. A couple months after placing the order,(and not receiving it) the plane showed "out of stock" on the web site. I canceled the order. About 6 months later the plane was delivered and my card was charged!! Banana sucks.
My next BH plane was given to me by a friend who purchased it from BH online because it looked cool and the write-up states that it is a good plane for beginners, stable slow flight, easy to hand launch. WTF! It's an EDF F-5 in Tigermeet paint. Very nice looking plane.... very not for beginners.
The esc lasted a little more than one flight. The retracts are junk, better glued in place. EPS foam is BRITTLE. I have been waiting for parts for this plane for over 4 months now. When I ordered them everything was in stock. My card was charged and the parts never showed up. I did get an email stating that the parts were back ordered, how would you like to proceed. I responded,"send entire order when parts arrive" I was told it would be a couple of weeks. About 5 weeks later I had to go looking for my parts again. I was told they had just arrived and would be going out by the next day. That was a several months ago. I still have no parts but BH still has my money.
After my first experiance with BH I said that I would never buy a plane from them again. I have kept my word but even with a new plane that was given to me I am in the same situation.

"STAY AWAY FROM BANANA HOBBY! (See VIP NOTE AT END!)Our order of $500++ was never sent. After three weeks of unanswered emails they informed us that our order had been returned to them. Banana Hobby said it was returned to them because USPS would not ship the batteries.
They did not bother to contact us and tell us this. We asked if the order could be freighted with someone else. This they did not answer, instead offering a partial refund but saying the were keepingthe $85 freight as per the instructions on their web site. (Nice little earner isn't it?) Why use a shipper if they do not ship what you are selling? I eventually submitted a dispute to Paypal and was refunded the $85 freight money. NOTE: VIP We purchase a similar item from a great company with excellent service - CLUB HELI - and guess what - they shipped the batteries via USPS at a cost of only $35.00. After reading all the complaints I thank I just lost my money.
I tried to call but no answer. No nothing. You have my money let me know something.
In reply to your reply. You said that you have just received my plane on the 31st. Ok I will go along with that but why haven't I receive a email or something saying it's been shipped or going to be shipped.it's only fare to let me know something about my order. Today is 2/6/12.

"Worst company I ever dealt with. They closed for 2 weeks after Christmas with no customer Service at all. I left multiple messages and emails and didn't get any return calls or emails when they reopened (I patiently waited 2 days after they opened back up). It was during that 2 days that I noticed the "F" BBB rating (wish I saw that before buying). They also had customer service phone numbers that didn't work. I truely feel that missrepresented their product and the issues surrounding it. They Charge excessive S&H and will refund even when you show them their error. Their Customer service reps top me they would fix the problem and ship a new product that night. The next day I got an email stating I needed to send pics. I sent pics. I gave a day for the response. I then called back and they said I needed to send pics, I said I have sent pics and would email them showing they weren't interested. They then told me that they wouldn't do anything anyway accept a return and wouldn't refund S&H or pay for return shipping. Which would have actually resulted in me getting nothing back by the time I shipped the RC Boats back. I gave up and disputed with AMEX. They agreed with me and I got a refund. Do not buy from these people. They really deserved the "F" rating from the BBB.

"Shipping was super slow. They said it would ship in 2-3 business days. Every time they sent me an email it would change. When I got the plane I had an issue because of the horrible instructions. They kept arguing with me over items that are clear in the instruction put refused to admit. Well after 10 hours of online chat I gave up and figured I would suck it up and find my own solution which was an extra $60. It’s not worth arguing with someone that doesn’t want to help and refuses to look at the manual not to mention constantly give faults information. I would happily send an extra $10 and get my plane elsewhere. "

I believe I have been dooped. Not a response via e-mail or anything. I will wait for a few more days for the response, I will need to order other planes from someone else if this is not resolved "

"while banana hobby has an excellent selection & shipping was prompt even through the holiday rush. however those are the only good things i can say. the products gear was faulty & getting replacement parts has been a nightmare. i have been trying for three weeks to get a replacement & tech support lied to me & said it would ship that day twice, on the 10th of jan i received conformation & a note saying that my replacement would be shipped with in 4 - 7 business days. only to speak to a supervisor on the 23th of january to find out there were none in stock but she would authorize the shipping dept. to pull one from a kit. two days after my chat with the supervisor i did get an e-mail & tracking # hopefully this one works! i would never order a plane with electronics in it from banana hobby again, this is my second plane from banana hobby & had component problems with both. also i live at high altitude and their set ups are WAY underpowered. had to totally replace the motors in their p-38(one quit on the maiden flight) but both were poor quality & very weak, the "retracts" (now glued in the fixed position) were complete junk! also, my friend ordered the same 8 channel mig 15 i'm having problems with & the recommended battery is way underpowered at least a 65 c is needed for even decent flight performance. don't know about mine yet, i'm sure it's the same story but i paid for it on dec. 19 & haven't gotten to use it yet today is jan 26th pretty much the 27th. that to me is NOT customer service at all. retract finally arrived & it is a different speed than the other two gears.NOT ACCEPTABLE !!!!! "
