"I thought it was just the store in Prescott Valley that had bad customer relations, and a totally obnoxious staff ... but after reading the two reviews here, evidently it is a company wide problem! I went to the store to get a battery fixed for my PorterCable drill; they dropped the drill! The repair person (the owners' son, i found later) actually reversed the polarity on the battery so it wouldn't work. When I returned it, the next repairman saw it and fixed it. Unfortunately, he dropped the drill and that caused a short and made the drill have problems running.
When I said something about it to the store owner, I was accused of being unethical and they kicked me out of the store! I'd never had something like that happen in all my 60 years! I used to run a retail store, and our motto was "the customer is always right". Evidently, the motto of BatteriesPlus is, the customer is a schmuck and do what you can to belittle them and keep their money!

"This is place is a total scam. Bought a battery for my phone. They said I could easily return it if the battery isn't the problem on my phone. The battery wouldn't charge when I placed it into the phone. I returned it, they said that because there was no charge in the battery they wouldn't refund the money. I can't charge it because my phone won't charge the battery, yet somehow, I'm at fault. TOTAL SCAM!!!"

"I purchased a replacement battery yesterday for my telephone from the BatteriesPlus store in Newington, NH. The phone worked perfectly until I turned it off: on restart it told me I needed to use an OEM battery, not a substitute.

I wanted a battery right away, so I wouldn't mind paying $34.99 for a battery listed on the 'net from $3.50 -$21.00, if it worked.

I doubt I'm the first customer to experience this problem, which suggests a decided lack of integrity on the seller: I won't be going back to BatteriesPlus again. If it was the middle of a mid-winter snowstorm and BatteriesPlus was the only warm and lit store, I wouldn't go in.

As I was the only person in the store throughout my visit, perhaps others had already learned my lesson!

"To put it short, I have had nothing but piles of trouble with this company. I ordered a charger from their main website and it came within a reasonable amount of time. No problem there

BUT the charger was not compatible with the camera battery that I ordered it for and that the Batteriesplus.com web site very specifically listed 100% compatibility.
I realize mistakes happen & someone might just have done a typo on their web site so I emailed customer service nicely to ask about exchanging or refunding it.
They were very,very rude and accused me upfront of not checking the compatibility. Well, I did and even took a screen shot of their web site to prove that they listed it would work.

Without going on and on here, I emailed them more than 5 times with no help whatsoever. They kept just saying it was my fault and that was that. Finally the only thing they would offer to do was to refund the price of it, but not refund any of the charges for shipping, which I had to pay for to begin with plus to ship it back! And no refund on the tax.
Well I thought that was ridiculous and unacceptable. And after being yelled at on the phone by them with them saying I was basically an idiot, to which I still can say 100% that I have the screenshot of the product page with the details that say it works for sure with my exact model. I am not a hard person to work with and am usually very understanding and forgiving. but this was beyond a mixup. I really have never experienced any thing like that in my life.

So in the end I am the one that is still screwed because they never would resolve it and I have a useless charger sitting here for nothing. I filed a BBB report to which BatteriesPlus failed to respond to within 90 days so I think they get a negative mark from the BBB or something. At this point all I can and want to do is warn people to stay away from this store at all costs.

There are plenty of other, better more deserving and thankful stores that actually appreciate your business. I have a new charger that works great that I bought from a big competitor but am still out the money I paid.

The only recourse in these situations I guess is hoping that other people will do research before buying and I hope that they come across and at least read my warning. Glad there are places like this site, ResellerRatings. I only wish I'd have checked it myself before buying.

"Battery did not last 1/2 as long as the factory battery it was to replace. Called to obtain an RMA # and was told it will be e-mailed to me within a week! They would not give me one over the phone."
