Broken Glass

"I carried a phone in on a Monday at lunch time and got it back in a few hours. I work third shift so I didn't use it right away. Woke up before alarm went off and went to make a call, held button down for Siri to come on, and screen cracked all to pieces. Called them cause they were actually still open but about to close. Guy said no problem bring it in first thing in the morning. Take it back first thing in the morning and guy looks at it, and tells me he can't stand behind it. Said its warped all up and never would keep a glass in it. Tell me nothing they will do. What I don't get is if it's warped all up and will never keep a screen in it, why take my hard earned money in the first place knowing it will only break? Tell me that so I can put the money toward a new phone. My wife is upset about it and called the corporate headquarters and they won't do anything either. She finally talks to same guy I did and then he tells her the story different than he told me. He didn't know I recorded our conversation while I was in the store and she recorded hers on the the phone so we could compare them. He tells my wife I'm lying about what happened to the phone and I dropped it and broke it again. He said I was a liar in so many words. What's funny is I have him lying on tape. Telling me one thing about my phone and then telling my wife something different. So the bottom line is they have a manager with a big ego, who is never wrong, and who isn't going to stand behind their products. I took it to the other store down the street for a estimate and he looked at it and said that it broke like it did because the guy didn't put the screen in proper. So what are you to do about a company who only warranties parts and labor and won't stand behind it cause of the managers opinion? I guess most people do nothing. It may not be feasible to take them to court but you can bet i will get my lodge together, as well as my fellow naacp members and go picket the store. At least that way I can get the newspaper,radio, and local tv down there and get him to explain the two different versions of my telephone and the repair on It to the general public. "

"I ordered a replacement batter for my HTC cell phone online for pickup in the store. Online the product shown was a Duracell battery with a lifetime guarantee. What they gave me in the store was a Rayovac battery with a one year guarantee, telling me that's the only one they had to fit my phone. Same price as the better Duracell! Rayovac batteries sell for a fraction of the price of Duracells. The new battery lasts no longer than the one it replaced. This rating applies to the Newington, NH store."

"I have tried for THREE months to purchase a replacement battery for my mother's Samsung Galaxy tab 3 from the store on Hendersonville Highway in Asheville NC. I have spoken with several different customer service people in the store. It is either the battery is back ordered or I will check and call you back either way no one ever returns calls, The last person I spoke with said her name was Jessica. She stated the battery had never been ordered, however, she would be off on Monday and would check with her Manager and make sure that the battery was ordered and put a rush so the battery would arrive on Wednesday. Do I really need to address this but you guessed it no call. I wonder how they stay in business. The store deserves no stars but I have to give it one so it would submit."

"This review only pertains to the Batteries Plus store in Lynnwood, WA. I purchased six golf cart batteries from this store in July 2014. In February 2015, one of the batteries went bad. After some hassle, it was replaced by Batteries Plus. I noticed the cart not performing and had the batteries tested by a factory authorized E-Z-Go technician in May, 2015. They found the battery that was replaced in February, 2015 was bad. The people at this Batteries Plus store won't stand behind their product and replace this bad battery and there reasons are that they replaced it once therefore there has to be something wrong with the cart. Anyone who knows golf carts knows that the batteries are wired in series so if something is wrong with the cart, it would have affected all the batteries. As to the wiring, it was all replaced within the past two years by authorized E-Z technician.

If you want problems - buy from this store. If you don't - think about buying somewhere else because it will save you money. The Everett, Batteries Plus store is also owned by the same person so you do the math.

"I had a great experience with Batteries Plus. I damaged the charging port on my iPhone 5. Took i it to the Apple Store and was told that it couldn't be fixed but that they would sell me an iPhone 6 for $300.00. I didn't bother to tell them that I had already researched the repair and knew that they were lying. I took my phone to Batteries Plus and they fixed my phone at an affordable price in less than twenty four hours. It's still working fine and I i will be using them again. "

"Went in to get a battery for my heart rate monitor.
Sales person used incorrect tool to remove battery cover and scratched it all up. Once he got it off he took battery in back and came out with a replacement battery (not in a package).
Installed battery and sent me on my way. Battery was like $3 and change.
Went to workout next day and heart rate monitor wasn't working. Went back to store that day and asked them to test battery. First guy tested it, dead, checked again, dead. Another guy comes over and checks and somehow get's it to read just barely. Says they will replace it. Guy brings out another battery (again not in package - weird). Says to me "if it happens again we're going to be suspicious". SERIOUSLY? You sold me a dead battery and you're accusing me of scamming you for $3?
Guess what, the "new" battery is already dying within a week.
I'm pretty convinced they are selling either the batteries they took out of other peoples devices or somehow trying to charge the old ones? WHY ARE THESE NOT IN PACKAGES and dying so fast.
Don't worry jerk. I won't be back to your substandard store at 3001 100th Street

"My elderly mother has been getting the run around from this company since December. She repaired my son's iPad for a Christmas gift and when she called to see if it was ready, they told her they didn't like the way the screen fit and sent it back. After three weeks she picked up the ipad. Immediately after opening it on Christmas, my son claimed the button was sticking and that it didn't feel right. The very next day, we noticed there was a small hairline crack going across the screen, from the button to the side. I strongly believe that it was due to the fact that the screen was put on incorrectly. Three days after Christmas, we returned to the store and showed the sales people. They looked puzzled and told me it wasn't covered by the guaranty. Since then, my mother has been getting the run around from the customer care service. She has sent pictures of the ipad to two different people (Jennie and Mike) six separate times! Every time they claimed they couldn't open them. The last three times she sent them to customer care, she has also sent them to various other people. All of them, including myself were able to open and view the pictures. I am extremely disappointed in this company and will never do business with them. I strongly urge you to do the same."

"You can not afford to go to Batteries +. I took my iPad in there and asked them to replace the screen. After I picked it up and started using it, I discovered that the 'touch' of the screen was off. I returned the iPad within the warranty period and explained that I didn't think the touch was right. They said they would fix it. I left the iPad with them for approximately three weeks. They returned it and said that it will not longer turn on, they can not repair that, and it's not refundable because the touch screen now works fine. ( I can not verify that the touch screen now works fine because it will no longer turn on). Batteries + is not a member of Better Business Bureau or any other service that would attempt to resolve customer disputes, they simply wear you down until you give up and decide your money is lost. "

"Took my Samsung Galaxy Tab3 in for repair on 12/26/2014. explain to the tech that my grandaughter had damaged the charging port, the tech said no problem the charging port could be replaced, but had to order the part. Jan 15, 2015 got a call from the tech, the tablet couln't be fix. Went to the store next morning - the manager tried to explain to me why the tech couldn't fix the tablet. I wanted to speak with the tech because the manager didn't make sense in his attempt to explain to me why the charging port couln't be replace. In his attempt, the manager stated that the tech worked on the unit all day (WHAT DAY?), he charged the tablet but the display would not show and it was making funny noises, he didn't want the tech to take the tablet apart afraid that something else would be wrong with the tablet. My question to the manager - how could the tech charge the tablet when the charging port is damaged without taking the tablet apart and by-passing the damaged port. Not getting anywhere with the manager i left in frustration. That funny noise: is the sound the tablet makes when the battery is low, which is why I took the tablet in for repairs in the first place. Talk about incompetent!!! Best Buy Geek Squad said they will have my tablet back to me in a few weeks, the charging port just needs to be replace, they will send it back to the manufacturer. It'll cost a bit more but its better than paying for incompetence. "

"Incompetence at every level.
They broke my watch replacing the battery and didn't tell us. They charged us and simply gave me the watch back. When we realized that the stem was broke we called them and they had us take the watch back to them. They weren't surprised at all and told me it would be ready in 3 weeks. At 3 weeks, they said it would be ready mid next week. I went to pick it up on Friday and they still didn't have it. Now I've been promised Tuesday. I don't ever expect to see the watch again. Avoid using them. My experience is with The Woodlands TX location.

"Oh, what an awful experience!

It was 6pm and on my way home I wanted to quickly get a new battery for my keyfob. Victor took my key and 15min later came back with it installed. I was asking the other guy what was taking so long and he couldn't tell me. When Victor handed it back to me, I noticed that it was not closed back completely. On questioning this, Victor said that that's the way that it was. I said, no it wasnt. He said, 'yes it was', I said, 'no' again and he again said, 'Yes it was'. You can't believe this, but it went back and forth this way 4 times! I said that I didn't appreciate his attitude and lack of customer service and asked for the manager. No 'manager' was there, so I asked for the managers card, which he handed me. In trying to figure out a solution for my key, which I expected might pop open when tossing them onto a counter, I became frustrated at the lack of concern that I was being given, which is when the 'other' guy finally came over. He said, well, I can refund your money, but that's all I can do. Upon further pressing on how to make the key 'fit' back together properly, Victor then states, 'well, it's an older keyfob and therefore it wears out and just won't go back together properly. It probably needs a new o-ring.' So now, it's not how I brought it in, but the fault of the age of the keyfob?

I went ahead with the refund from the 'other' guy who I then proceed to find out is the 'Owner'. You are the Owner, I said? He timidly said, yes, to which I stated, then why did Victor tell me that no 'manager' is here and you didn’t come over earlier? Well, that's what we tell him to say. WHAT? The owner then says, we want the manager to handle all of the problems, not me. I was so dumbstruck, frustrated, and tired, that after 45min (to get a simple keyfob battery), I left and will never return.

So if you don't mind bad customer service, inept workers, and an owner that doesn't take responsibility, go there. Otherwise, go anywhere else.

"They just make up excuses as they go in order to NOT cover any issues with their batteries. Their customer service is non existent. I purchased thousands of dollars a year in batteries for my company and now I am so upset with them over a simple motorcycle battery, I will take all my business elsewhere. Smart move BP. "

"This place is a joke. Went to store in Aurora co, they give you the runaround and blame any issue on you.(the customer). they do not stand behind what they say is a warranty when you buy batteries. I wont spend another dime there and suggest to everyone i can not to either. Go to Walmart and buy your stuff and at least they will take it back when there is a problem."

"I purchased a car battery from Batteries Plus store in Maplewood MN. last January. The battery went dead in October this month. I went back to the Batteries Plus store the employee tested the battery and told me it was OK. I wanted the battery replaced, I had a three year warranty. They said "NO" and became HOSTILE...I went to a autoshop and had the battery replaced. Car starts fine."

"PURCHASED A NEW there very best Road KING BATTERY FOR OUR 2007 HARLEY DAVIDSON > WE WERE ABLE TO GO ON OUR RIDE THAT DAY!! THEN I HAD TO GO OUT OF TOWN AND BIKE SAT iDLE FOR 6 WEEKS OR SO! WENT TO START IT UPON RETURNING.not a thing so i removed it took it back to the store (batterie was 3 months old) OH my mistake! i should have have not left it in my bike-(it is the GENUINE HARLEY DAVIDSON BATTERY)the same one from factory=they say==Bulls378== THERE IS NO COMPARISON--once you spend there 165.00 and receive the 2 year warrenty and walk out of (ANY) of there stores====you are on your own!! im not sayin dont buy there product im just saying you do so at your own RISK with no comp-to ever come your way! oh buy the way we still have a year left on the warrenty(HAHAHA) what a joke we will never buy or spend a penny with this company again!! do a search to see how many were unlucky like us!!!its never there fault===its yours!! thank you!!! "
