"I shop at both the Homewood and Hoover locations in the Birmingham, Alabama area. I generally need assistance with choosing batteries, as well as sometimes having them placed them in the phone or item for which I am purchasing it for. The associates do it kindly. Recently Mr. WMims at the Hoover location suggested that I buy a lifetime warranty for my car keys. I didn't know that option was available."
"The store at Robert C. Daniel parkway in Augusta GA replaced the screen on my Iphone 7 improperly. The phone worked properly when left at the store, just needed a screen. When the phone was picked up it did not seem to work properly. The screen was not seated correctly. The phone colors were not correct, the phone would dial when placed near my ear and the selfie camera would not work. I took the phone back 2 times. They told me there was nothing else they could do.
I took the phone straight to Apple assuming i would have to buy a new phone. The Apple technician needed about 10 seconds to determine the screen was installed improperly. Apple said that replacing the improperly installed screen would fix the phone completely.
Batteries plus would not refund for their crappy installation of the screen.
I would not recommend using Batteries Plus for replacing screens as they do not guarantee their work. Batteries Plus has lost a pretty good customer for not only screens replacement, but batteries etc. There are plenty of other businesses who stand behind their work."
"I took my phone in for screen replacement and initially they kept the phone much longer than promised. I paid over $200 for a screen replacement. 60 days later the screen went out. When it was taken back the technician said it was pushed on too hard because there was a black spot on the screen. The phone had an elaborate case and an expensive screen protector. I called corporate and sent them pictures. I received 3 different stories about the screen and why it is not covered under warranty. A very sad day when you cannot trust a business and the supposed warranty they provide. They even said they will do it again for $100 this time."
"I recently broke my screen on my Android S7. No one had parts or fixed that model. I walked into Batteries Plus Bulbs in Robinson Twp, PA by chance and they could do it! They repaired my screen in under 2 hrs and were very reasonable price wise. My only complaints would be they offered me $10 off if I would go online and book the appt which I could not do as I stood there with a broken screen. It would have been great if they gave me the discount. My other complaint is I invested in a Simple Snap screen protector. It doesn't go to the edge of my phone making it difficult to tap on those areas and the screen doesn't swipe like it used to. It gets frustrating. "
"They replaced a watch battery and, when next I wore my watch 3 weeks later, it wasn't working. I confirmed what the rude employee told me: apparently, unless you discover a problem the next day, there's nothing they will do. Ridiculous! Needless to say, I'll never go there for any battery."
"If I could give them zero stars I would. First off I used a gift card to buy a battery and they billed my card for 3.86 cents. Two days later they billed my card for the total cost of the battery an extra 100 dollars which was billed to my gift card already. Having giving them the gift card to throw away, they refused to refund my account a week later. Then a week after that the new battery melts on me while connected to the trickle charge I bout there and they say it's operator error and refuse to warranty the item. Would not recommend this place to anyone."
"Castle Shannon store in Pgh, PA. Great hours for me; very helpful and attentive worker who helped me find what I needed. I will be a steady customer!"
"Bought a snowmobile battery with a 2 year warranty and 8 months in they will not honor the warranty the are the worst place to go by far
"
"Went to get my charging port replaced, but they broke the speakers, so when I got a phone call, the other person couldn't hear me, and I took it back in, and they refused to fix it. I paid $75.00 to fix it. I will never take anything there again."
"Saturday 9/9/17 before arrival of Hurricane Irma there was NO "C" or "D" Batteries anywhere in Daytona Beach FL along International Speedway Blvd including Target, Sears, the Mall, Big Lots, 5 Gas Stations, Walmart on both Beville & Walmart in Ormond Beach, I searched in Despair until I remembered the Batteries & Bulbs Store on ISB in Daytona, and to my Relief, they had BOTH! Thank you for your store, and Jim, we were able to operate our battery fans, charge cell phones, and portable radio after the storm when we had no power for 2 1/2 days & it was humid & hot! "
"I ordered a phone battery to pick up at the store near my house. I was caution to call them before I ordered it. This is the store at Apple Valley in Minnesota. The guy named Chris picked up the phone and confirmed me that there was one available and asked me to order it right away and gave them a call back to go pick it up at their store. I did order that in 10 mins after taking to Chris. Called them back and talked with Paul. He said that there was nothing available until Wed ( I called in on Sat). I didn't like that and wanted to cancel my order. Paul told me that I needed to cancel it online. However, there was no way that I can cancel it from online. I called them back and they said that the only way that I can cancel my order is to go to the store because I already paid for it using my credit card....
Just be aware of the way this store runs. I never do any business with them again to save my time next time."
"Batteries Plus sold me a cell phone battery - with a lifetime warranty, that quickly drains energy, and takes hours to recharge. My phone is not in constant use, but the battery discharges energy so fast that it has to be recharged twice daily. Two trips back to the store proved worthless. The technicians plugged in my phone and said it looked fine to them. They refused to replace the battery, even though it cost me over $45.00. I later learned I could have purchased the same battery elsewhere for about one-tenth of that price. They also demanded I give them my phone number and email address to authorize the warranty. All that resulted in was a lot of third-party telemarketer calls and junk email. I will NEVER make another purchase from Batteries Plus."
"Brief description a warranty is a warranty... If you give a 3 year warranty you should honor that if a battery only lasts 9 months and fails you would want them to honor warranty. I was told that I already brought a battery back for a warranty so I couldnt get a warranty...The first lie was I brought back a battery. Truthfully I think this false advertisement should be brought to the better business bureau. However I received a new battery at no cost,it was the hassle of telling me I cant get another battery if something goes wrong with the new one. If I have a 3 year warranty I want my 3 year free replacement no ifs and or buts about it..... Maybe its the faulty battery... I dont care if 6 months go by if something happens to the battery such as this one boiling while im driving I want my replacement no excuses... As I can see in the reviews Im not the only customer disappointed in what they call a warranty"
"i had 2 of my sons phones repaired, replace screens. that worked fine, then went back when 1 son cracked screen again, this did not go well ! The store replaced again for which i paid for,2weeks later it went dead. took to store and they said they would take care of it and did for few days. Then phone got extremely hot and went dead, was told by store when i returned it again, that screw was loose inside and shorted something. again they gave it back saying it was repaired. within a week it went dead again.By this time i'm getting flak from store employees. The manager then put a new battery in it, it worked then. I informed manager that this would be last time i would let them do anything with that phone. Two days later over holiday weekend it went dead again. I called store to find out when manager would be in and was told monday, went that afternoon and no manager and associate present started to tell me that it was dead battery. This person was aware of problems i had been having and i tood him give me my phone back and i will contact manager. was treated very rudely. called again tuesday morning and was told i had to call HIS vendor to take care of it. Do you believe that !! then was told he wont do anything to resolve my troubles. i have a call into corporate now,we will see what happens ! Highly Dissatisfied !!"
"Pat was professional, informative, patient, and extremely helpful in the time and attention that he exhibited while solving my problem with the batteries in my small appliances in the store in Brandon, Florida. Thank you Pat!"
