"BatterySharks sells a broad range of battery products with a variety of intended uses. The intended use dictates how the battery is manufactured and the chemistry used. Make sure you order the correct *type* (of use) of battery and not just the size and amp-hour capacity you need.
This is the second BatterySharks order I've placed. I ordered the exact same batteries as I did previously although they were 10% more expensive now than six (6) months ago. Packaging was better this time, but still poor. Last time the box had collapsed and resembled a ball more than a box. This time, the box had collapsed and looked very slightly more like a box than a ball, but not much. The batteries in both cases were fine and functioned normally, but given the box conditions, I was extremely nervous that the were going to be trashed. IMO, BatterySharks should seriously improve their packaging to lower the risk of injuring a postie during transit.
The order arrived very quickly. I was impressed.
I would have taken off a star for the terrible packaging, but delivery was quick and it's clearly "good enough" (provided nothing extraordinary happens, I suppose).

"I bought 3 UPS batteries made by Sigmas Tek and sold by Battery Sharks. Two of them failed within a year. When the first one failed, I couldn't remember where I bought it and because it wasn't that important of a computer system I didn't replace it right away. When the second one failed I again tried to figure out where I bought it from but couldn't find the paperwork. About a month later I saw a sale by APC for the original batteries and bought them. When they finally came in, I replaced the failed batteries and saw the manufacturers name on the old batteries. When I googled Sigmas Tek I found that Battery Sharks sold them. I searched their name through my email and found the email with the order confirmation. By that time, it was 13 months since my purchase and Battery Sharks would not honor their 12 month warranty. While their batteries where a lot cheaper, I won't use them again since they hardly lasted and their refusal to honor the warranty even though I let them know that they had failed within the warranty time frame."

"Bought a STX20HL-BS motorcycle battery and when it arrived was well below charged and labeled "Made In Vietnam". Put a trickle charge on for 24 hrs before use and wouldn't start my bike. Charge showed 13.4 but when starting bike, volts dropped to 4 . Called customer service and since they didnt have the same battery in stock, they gave me a full refund within 24 hrs. "
"After reviewing a few places from which to order replacement UPS batteries, I 'stumbled' on the BatterySharks website. I wanted a higher (Ah) battery and was instantly given a recommendation by the very pleasant lady who answered the call... in just a few rings I might add. That was the first positive...(no machine answering my call). The order was placed and in about five days I had batteries, unfortunately those were accompanied by a note from the USPS admitting that they had 'goofed' by damaging the package. This is where things got great again in terms of BatterySharks customer service. I called on Monday morning and spoke with Anthony about the issue. He informed me that a new battery would be sent out to replace the one with damaged terminals. Three days later, I had a replacement. During the initial search, I'd actually found a slightly cheaper battery, but the customer service reviews for that company were dreadful.
