"Ordered my batteries 10 days ago. Website or order confirmation gives no indication of when the batteries will be shipped.
Called the customer service number 8 times. finally got a person.
she was extremely rude and unprofessional - "we dont have them in stock. They have to be shipped from ottawa. wait until Friday or call back"
this business is a joke..."
"Battery that "ships in 1-2 days" took over 40 days and five emails to customer service to finally get shipped. Each communication, i was promised it would either ship out in the next day or two or by the end of the day. Only thing that seemed to finally get it shipped out was the threat to cancel the order if it wasn't shipped by end of that day. Totally unacceptable and misleading.
Also, product was not the same size as claimed and didn't fit. had to jam it in the receiver which broke the screw holes that hold the cover on. "
"I placed an order with BatteryClerk on Feb 8th. 5 weeks later, I cancelled my order.
Among the many issues that I experienced with the company, these were the biggest:
- The web site has no means of tracking inventory, so they will accept an order even if they do not have the product to ship.
- There is no way to track the status of your order on their web site.
- They deleted my account so I could not log in to see my order. I was told the web site was being upgraded, but my account continues to not work even today.
- The customer service is responsive, but is unable to provide an accurate time when the product will arrive, or even where the product is in the process.
After waiting five weeks, and after initiating contact in all cases, they informed me that the product was out of stock, and could not tell me when it would be available again. I then cancelled my order. They never offered any sort of remedy for this inconvenience. And since they charged my card at the time of the order, I paid interest on the money while I waited for the product.
The standard for eCommerce today is much higher. I would have expected this kind of service in the 90's, but they need to up their game to compete in today's environment. There are plenty of places where I could have gotten this product, and the place I eventually used had a shipping notice and a tracking number within hours of order placement.
