"Product arrived promptly, sealed in bag. Description rates the battery at 4400 mAh, my HP Battery Check program shows it as having a capacity ~3800 mAh, pretty consistently for the past 3 months. Yes, I have cycled the battery to completely dead and recharged a number of times.
On contacting BattDepot, they offered to evaluate it for possible replacement under warranty, however given that the battery is worth ~$35 and it would cost $14 for me to ship it, I'm just going to use it as is and take it as a lesson learned.
Perhaps I should have gone for the premium "Dr Battery" model."
