"I received a battery that won't charge and my email to their support address bounced back. Total scammers, avoid avoid avoid."
"Received the wrong product, have been waiting for a reply from them for a month already. Besides that the product sent, had nothing to do with batteries, they have sent me 70ml propane gas bottles.."
"Bought a Sealake battery in Aug. 2019 for $ 166.50.
Noticed on arrival that it did not hold the charge and suspected that the company sent me an expired battery since it came in generic shipping container.
Emailed them about it and they asked me to send the battery back to investigate.
Paid $ 25 for shipping it back and 10 days later received a replacement– this time in it’s original shipping container.
So far the charge is holding but when I requested compensation for lost time and $25 for returning the first shipment, they first ignored my emails and when I phoned cited store policy.
When will they understand that a satisfied customer is ultimately better for the bottom line than a scammed one?
I wish I had read these comments about this company before.

"I could kick myself for not searching out this company before buying. They sent me a USED battery - it doesn't charge on my computer properly and now my computer doesn't recognize it. When it first recognized the battery, my laptop's battery checker indicated fair to poor condition.
I have phone and emailed but I'm not hearing back from them.
I have since put in a claim through my payment company.
Stay away unless you want a big hassle on your hands.
Too bad I can't allocate Zero stars.

"1 of 3 batteries is useless. Emails and telephone calls are ignored.
I guess I'm lucky 2/3 of the order at least seems to be OK so far. I'm not optimistic for the quality of the others."
"On October 11, 2019 I ordered a set of batteries and immediately canceled order. Tried calling, phones down. Emailed 6 times and no response. Batteries arrived, emailed again to find out where to return them. NO REPONSE. Today, October 23, 2019 I received an email telling me that the batteries have been mailed out today and that I am unable to change the order. This company does not stand by their customers, you can't call them because their phones are down, they don't respond to emails at all! I canceled my order seconds after placing the order online and sent an email confirming that I had canceled the order. There was more than enough time for this company to cancel my order. Now, I am contacting the Better Business Bureau to inform them of my situation. DON'T PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY. THEY ARE NOT RELIABLE AND WILL IGNOR ALL OF YOUR EMAILS!!! Horrible and I will NEVER purchase anything from them EVER!

"Excellent prices, excellent choices, always a pleasure to order batteries with them !!!!!!"
"Purchased a Dell Inspiron 5747 compatible battery from BattDepot. It fitted the battery socket fine, but had a different exterior shape to the original battery. This slightly elevated the back end of my laptop. I could have lived with that; yet even though my laptop recognized the battery, -it didn't charge. I returned the battery via US mail [at my own expense]. The USPS website confirmed delivery to BattDepot on 8/22. Yet Battdepot claimed they hadn't received it, then immediately stopped responding to my e-mails and didn't respond to my phone messages either. After I threatened action through the Better Business Bureau they partially refunded me [on the same day]. The purchase price was $35.99, the refund was for $25.99. Although they state that they can withhold a 15% "restocking fee", in my case they helped themselves to a whopping 27.79%! This was not a good experience!

"Had to order a replacement battery for HP Laptop. After a week when the laptop was rebooted, an error message that the battery wasn't identified, and wouldn't be charged came up. I contacted seller for an RMA, shipped it to them, they received it 6 days later, and I've not heard from them since. All I get when calling is "Tech Support" or "Sales is not available. Sending you to voice mail. " I shipped August 1st, now Sept 3rd and no email, no phone call, no response of any kind.
We've purchased from them before, can't recommend them any longer. "
"2 faulty battery replacements for my Lenovo y50-70 laptop.
I had to pay $17 to ship back the first faulty battery, however, they did pay for the second one, which is why I'm not rating 1 star.
Overall, kind of confusing and disappointing.
I guess I'll have to find another way to make my college laptop usable :/"
"Ordered an HP copy laptop battery November '18. Arrived, fitted, worked after several attempts. For a while. I only use the laptop once a week or so on battery power, most of the time I run in plugged into the mains without the battery.
After a few months the battery was only charging up to 30%. Contacted the firm asking how to claim under the years warranty. Was told that this was classed as normal wear & tear under the warranty. Which apparently only covers batteries that don't charge from new. The 5 year old OE battery holds more charge than this does. "
"Sent wrong battery out. Easy mistake and informed them of this. Explaining the battery was the wrong shape compared to picture and description on website. BattDepot decided to refuse all responsibility for their mistake, no apology, just blatant lies to avoid returning postage costs and refund costs of battery.
Absolutely disgusting customer care, just do yourself a favour and avoid at all cost. Buy from a professional website such as Amazon that stay within the law. I can only hope BattDepot go out of business very soon to avoid ripping off future customers."
"Ordered a laptop battery through Best Buy in April 2019. The battery arrived after a week and was not recognized by the laptop. My IT tech advised that it was non-functional. Returned the battery beginning May (shipping cost $17). Contacted BattDepot end of May; they had not received the battery (oh wait.....yes they did). Received refund but not for return shipping as the battery was working (their policy). Advised them that I had it checked by an IT professional. They said they would get back to me. It is now July and I have had no further response from them, I have no battery and am down $17. I say don’t bother with these cheap Chinese-made batteries or BattDepot. BTW, an extra star for refunding original shipping cost (which is NOT their policy)."
"Ripped me off for $45. I never received my order or a re fund. They need to close shop immediately!"
"Ordered a battery after much faffing with their website, chose express delivery. Nearly a month later, still waiting. DPD, their chosen logistics fulfiller, are just as poor but it's BP who contract with them. Haven't got the battery, don't really want it now. And now BP are unwilling to refund me when I ask them to. Steer clear, buy from a reputable reseller that, probably, charges more but supplies pukka products via dependable means. "
