"Ordered a macbook pro 2009 battery replacement. Turned up on time and looked great. Installed it (after fully charging) and the laptop now cuts out after about two minutes. Reading these reviews AFTER I bought it, I knew it would cost me more in time trying to get these fools to communicate then if I just ate the £40. So I opened the battery up to see what was inside and it's laughable. There are 4 unidentifiable cells (each with a single unsearchable barcode sticker) badly sellotaped together, all connected by 2 single wires with 8 massively exposed solder points. It looks like something a kid would make in an elementary electronics class.
This company is a joke, the owner needs to be locked up. I cannot comprehend how in the world they are so far up in Google page rankings and as such have reported them using Google webmaster tools.
Please don't buy from here. You may be wondering why I'm writing such a bad review over £40, however I am just shocked at the 5000+ negative reviews I wish I had read before buying from this ****hole."
"Like a number of other reviewers, I wish I'd read these reviews before placing my order. I purchased a battery for my daughter's laptop. After fully charging, the laptop would startup and display a message saying the battery was not recognised. Sometimes it would continue to boot, only to switch off after a couple of minutes - sometimes it would fail to boot altogether.
I returned the battery as faulty, but was told I would not be refunded for my original postage costs. Given that I had free shipping I did not think this applied, however I only received a partial refund and they kept back part of my refund anyway.
So I'm out of pocket and have nothing to show for it.
As the title says, avoid this company - there are other sellers out there."
"I wished I read the reviews before I bought a battery for my son’s laptop for Christmas. After it was installed, it couldn’t keep its charge. We followed the vague sheet of instructions that came with the battery but to no avail. We ended up getting another one at Canada Computers because my son had to go back to university. After it was inspected by the tech guy there, we found out the battery was a dud (his words). This is my second attempt to contact them. Now this place is making me jump through hoops just to get a refund. If this company truly stand by their products and wish to maintain a customer relationship, a shipping label should be provided for returns, don’t you think?

"Completed an order for a laptop top battery and shortly after sent an email (via their Contact Us section) asking if it was possible to add an item to the order. The 'Contact Us' section asked for Name, email, contact number, etc.
I hadn't heard anything for 4 working days (having paid £8 delivery) so chased the order to be told they had cancelled it!!!
Short story -
* They originally replied to the wrong email address, not the one I gave on their form.
* Cancelled my order.
* Told me I shouldn't have inquired about the possibility of amending an order.
* Lacked any customer service skills.
They are cheap for a reason, avoid at all costs"
"Battery does not last for more than a couple of hours, even with screen on lowest brightness. Laptop cannot read amount of power left. Save yourself some trouble, pay more for the real thing. "
"I purchased a battery for my laptop which stated it came with a 2-year warranty. The battery arrived, however there is no mention in the order or accompanying documentation of the warranty. I tried the online chat link which linked me to a request form. I filled out the form requesting documentation of the 2-year warranty, I received an email back with a link to their website. When I clicked, there was no place that mentioned the 2-year warranty. I am concerned that if I need support it won't be there! In addition I paid $5 for expedited shipping and it arrived beyond the promised 4-day window."
"I have been ordering lots from this batt depot. they keep shipping some defective products in each box.
everytime i ship the defective products back, they will never exchange with different ones..they just ship back the broken ones...until you get bored and tired of shipping back..or you have to spend your shipment costs to ship back...that is how they do..so you can give up and dump all defective products in the recycling bin. they are really 100% cheating customers...I hope government of Canada should investigate their products and how bad they have been cheating Canadian customers....

"don't use them, total garbage. "
"googled what battery required, and bought the one recommended, only to get the wrong one, returned promptly but only to wait for 10 days to get refunded, but only for the cost of the battery, now outstanding the same cost as the battery with all the P&P not being refunded."
"I have to give a star because you can't give none or negative.
As has been said they shipped a dead battery for my laptop and when I finally got the laptop to see it and the battery to take a charge it only worked for about a half hour and the laptop just went dead. They blamed the charger and the laptop. I paid to send it back and bought a battery from Walmart online and it worked great so it wasn't my charger or laptop but they said their battery tested fine and I'm waiting for a refund regardless I'm out $20 for shipping!!! THEY **** DON'T BUY FROM THEM!!!!!!!!"
"Purchased one battery - faulty. Got a replacement battery - faulty. Sent both back and got a full refund. Customer service via email was fast.
I purchased a replacement battery for a Lenovo Y50 laptop. It arrived promptly, but after carrying out Battdepot's instructions and testing, the battery would not power the machine; when I disconnected the charger, the machine ran for 1-2 minutes before switching off unexpectedly. I contacted customer support, taking pictures and explaining in detail what was wrong.
I requested a refund, but they offered to send another replacement battery right away, without the need for sending back the first. Soon enough, the second came, however, the small cables running from the circuit board inside the battery enclosure to the motherboard connector were loose, completely disconnected from the battery. Further, the entire circuit board wasn't fixed within the battery enclosure.
I contacted Battdepot again and explained the situation in detail, providing pictures. They agreed to a refund, pending investigation by their own technicians. Sure enough, just a few days after receiving both batteries back, I have been given a full refund, with PayPal willing to refund the return postage, too.
I cannot recommend buying products from this company; two out of two were faulty, though I did get a refund in the end.
Hearing stories about other customers who claim to have been 'swindled', I recommend communicating clearly and calmly the problem with Battdepot. Answer all of their questions, provide high-quality images where applicable and keep calm."
"Battery died with half time of warranty "
"Edited from my original review because the problem was with my laptop, not the battery I bought.
4 stars out of 5 because they didn't send me the battery I ordered, but it was still compatible with my laptop and it was the same price as the battery I bought so, no harm done. The battery works fine."
"Beware of this scam company. On August 2018 I purchased a Dell battery from this company and it is not the correct batter. The battery is too short and also too small because the space that is provided for the battery on my Dell computer is too large,. The battery that I received falls down in the space that is provided for the battery on my computer, which means that there are no connection from battery to computer.
They are so irresponsible although I provide all the codes and I also sent pictures of my battery showing the size is different .
Can you imagine what is his response to me which I find to be so degrading saying "that it is still the correct battery" I cannot believe the behavior of that employee who has no regards for the customer.
It seems that he has no intention of rectifying this problem.
My advice to whoever is reading this complaint to keep far away from that company. Do you know that the telephone number only have a voice box so therefore you cannot talk to any human being. BATTDEPOT COMPANY."
"First I was scare, because I put my order and payment before I read comments on BattDepot. But I am pretty much satisfy with service and job of BattDepot. I put my order for two batteries one for my cellphone and the other for my camera,
at July 31, 2018 by standard post delivery and I received both at August 03, 2018 and both was correct what I ordered. Well I have so far pretty good experience with this company."
