"Ordered a Gardman Feeding Station Kit. When summer finally came to Wisconsin (Mother Nature skipped spring this year) I opened the box to put it together the end of May. The wing bolts and another small part that the directions don’t identify (but there’s a teeny tiny picture in the instruction sheet) were missing.. Took a picture of the hardware sent requesting they send me the other two missing ones. Response was that I needed to notify them within 5 days so no replacement parts would be sent and maybe I could find them at the hardware store. Don’t even know what I’m looking for to replace the second missing item. I offered to return it - nope that had to be done within 30 days. I live in Wisconsin - ground was still frozen in April and May! They don’t seem to care that they have lost a customer over a couple of wing bolts and that mysterious other little piece! "
"Don't buy from them! They sent a much cheaper item, hoping you won't notice. And then they wanted you to pay for the return shipping even though that's their mistake. Their customer service was very rude."
"I ordered the "S&K Purple Martin House, 12 Room." I just started putting the product together (now that the weather is finally nicer). Upon opening the package, I was skeptical as it was all flimsy plastic and cardboard. Sure enough, when I started putting it together my worst fears were realized - the cardboard tabs all bent) and wouldn't hold the pieces together. and the included plastic screw sets kept popping out with some even breaking! After two hours, I gave up on this horrible product. Upon calling customer service, first I was lectured by the person who answered that "I shouldn't take my complaints out on her." Then I was transferred to Zach, who told me that since I was outside their stated return window - which he said was clearly stated on their website - that I couldn't get my money back. Zach also informed me that he was the god of Best Nest customer service (my words) and that there was no one else to speak to on the matter. While I had Zach ("Mr. Personality") on the phone, I also questioned an order that still has not been fulfilled - they said that it went to an outside vendor who fills these types of orders within 30 business days - after checking, I realized it's only been 28 business days - silly me for thinking I would receive an order in a timely manner! Lesson learned - this company carries inferior products and has extremely poor customer service. I hope this review helps someone else avoid the pain I've been through - I strongly suggest that you find someone else to order from!!!!!"
"Review “ I bought their wind product to complement the four other wind toy we have on the driveway; my wife really like these things. Sadly the one from BestNest was clearly low quality because it didn’t turn in the wind; in fact, we had a howling gale, and it still didn’t turn. I think it was badly designed and wasn’t able to catch the wind at all. I would never buy an item from these folks again. The return process was ugly, and all expenses for the original shipping and return for a non-working product were at my cost, not theirs. Mike."

"My wife and I ordered a bird house. Their ad said our purchase came with a FREE 3' x 5' flag. We never got the flag and they wouldn't refund our $12.97 that we should have received. We contacted them numerous times and they said they would NOT do either one. When I asked them numerous times how they could justify their free flag ad, they would not answer us. Their customer service is the worst and so is their company. DO NOT buy from this business! "
"This web site has a very poor customer service standard. They aren’t willing to work out any kind of a return if it’s just a few days past 30 days. Sometimes it cannot be helped if a return is needed after only 30 days. I’m now stuck with useless telescoping poles.
Their packaging, for shipping of my order was also really bad. I won’t be buying from them ever again. "
"We ordered mailboxes from their website and within 2 hours after ordering we responded to their customer service email asking to make changes but there was no response. The next day (less than 24 hours) we called in and they said the order was final and refused to contact the factory manufacturing the order to modify the order or cancel it. We called multiple times and they refused to modify or cancel the order ands stood behind the shell of a website saying all orders are final and refused to try to work with the factory on our behalf."
"Spoke to customer service twice no help at all they said I need to deal with the manufacture direct. Wrong answer, if your selling a product you need to back it up or at least handle the claim with the manufacturer.

"I bought a pond filter and received the order. By mistake I ordered the wrong filter. Upon returning I was missing a replacement hinge. They offer the replacement hinge with the order. After returning the hinge was not in the box. The cannot get a replacement hinge that ships with the order. What a joke . They return the filter to me missing more parts. I cannot try to resell it. The level of customer service at this company is a joke. They don't respond for days and refuse to help the customer. I would advise anyone to stay away from this company. Highly recommend that no one ever does business with this greedy corrupt company EVER!!!!

"I ordered a Parasol Bloom Hummingbird feeder. It would not hang evenly. A thick, inflexible wire wraps around the glass feeder. Customer service expected me to easily adjust this wire in order to make the feeder hang properly. This was not possible. Then, they offered to send a replacement wire hanger. Again, they weren't familiar with their own product, as replacing this wire was not possible, unless done by the manufacturer. Next, my request to send a return shipping label was denied. I spent $18.19 to return this defective product. My request for reimbursement was denied. NEVER AGAIN WILL I PURCHASE FROM A COMPANY THAT DOES NOT OFFER FREE RETURN SHIPPING!
Also, the glowing BizRate reviews are not to be trusted. The negative reviews seem to be filtered out. Refer to "The Scoop on BestNest" on Dave's Garden website. Additionally, GardenWatchdog does NOT list BestNest.com as a reputable company."
"They advertise the New England Arbor Canvas Weave Kit as fitting a 12' x 12' pergola. In reality the 12 x 12 is the distance between the pergola's main support posts. I have a pergola that overall measurements is 12 x12 but the distance between my posts are 10' x 10'. When I contacted them for an exchange for the 10 x 10, they refused because I was three weeks beyond their 60 day return policy. I wasn't looking for a refund only an exchange. I was returning in the original box and unused."
"Fast and Thorough! I am very pleased with my experience with this company. Amazon couldn't deliver our pump in time and I originally tried to order with another company but it was nothing but problems so I searched around and found BestNest.com. I was able to get a FASTER delivery time than everyone else, it was $21 CHEAPER and they contacted me right away to verify my address and make sure everything went through smoothly. "Ordered the Parasol nectar bottle, I paid shipping for it and it was damaged. They had another one shipped from the manufacturer it was damaged as well, the replacement took over a month to receive. They gave me an option to keep a damaged item or send it back but I would have to pay shipping charges to send back when in fact I paid to get one that was not damaged in the first place.
Bad customer service for wanting you to ship back an item that was damaged. As you be paying shipping twice for something that was damaged in the first place. Amazing that they will lose a customer instead of making it right."
