"I placed an order 4/15/20, the order shipped 4/16/20 and I received the order 4/18/20. I decided to change the theme of my party so I sent those items back and placed another order 4/19/20, I paid $19.04 expedited shipping for my order to be here 4/27/20. It’s Friday 4/24/20 6:08 pm and my order has yet to ship out or give me a confirmation regarding anything. I’ve been reaching out all day to customer service to find out what’s going on with my order and all they’ve been doing is telling me “it’s shipping today” nobody decided to figure out what’s the hold up on my order and why it’s taking so long. The order I sent back shipped out with NO ISSUE all of sudden my new order is delayed, This company is truly disgusting. With all of the sad things that are going on they should make sure people have THEIR birthday merchandise so they can enjoy these sad times and make the best of it. This company is frustrating, I want a FULL REFUND and will never order from the again! And I advise no one else to! They all act confused and helpless on customer service and it **** me all the way off. My 4 year old birthday has officially been RUINED. Thank you to this **** company! "
"I never received my daughters party items and they said it was wrong address, when called to verify they confirmed my correct address. Still blaming me and charging me for the returned items. I never got the items I paid for or a refund and they charged me $15.00 for their mistake. Customer service is rude and blames you for putting the correct address. This is a scam they have done this to other people I just saw the reviews. It’s a trick to blame you when it’s all to scam you from the charges. Awful! Don’t order from here it’s me and other people with the same story of them stealing. "

"I place an order over $100 but the website would not honor the coupons/specials, so tired of spending almost 2 hours trying to figure it out, I emailed the company. I never heard back. A few days later I tried again, to no avail. I emailed them again and never heard back. A few days later I called them to find out why the website is not applying the discounts accordingly and was told it is not working correctly and she can take my order over the phone. So, we spent a good amount of time putting the order in, some with personalized info. At the end she tells me she has to charge me the entire balance and then refund the discounts. I confirmed the discounts and reviewed the amounts, etc. They were supposed to give me free shipping, $40 in free personalized product and 20% off. Yes, they gave me the 20% off. They did not give me the free shipping- even after I called to complain. When I received my order a personalized item (9 candy wrappers) were missing. I called and was told they no longer have that wrapper! What?! Why didn't she tell me that on the phone? Was anyone going to call me to offer a different one or hope I didn't notice the free item didn't get shipped? I picked another one out (didn't match the theme) because I needed them to complete my smore's treat bags. They sent those overnight and I did receive them. Sadly, I never did get my $7.99 refund in shipping. Very disappointing to go through as much hassle as I did to order from them and they couldn't honor $7.99!! They lost a customer over $7.99! "
"I was told about this site through a friend who ordered her child’s party supplies from here and everything turned out great for her party so I was like okay.. this is great. Boy was I wrong. I ordered Puppy Dog Pals birthday supplies last Wednesday (April 10) and I was afraid everything wasn’t going to be here on time for the party (AprIl 20) so I had everything shipped in 2 days. I received my order on April 16 (the date it was supposed to had been delivered), but when I got the package the box was raggedy and the tape was barely holding it in. Now idk if this was Birthday in a Box’s fault or the delivery company, but I didn’t let that part get to me. When I opened my package I had everything except for like 3 items.. 3 important items. So I called customer service and the lady (I forgot her name but I know it starts with an A) apologized and redid my order ordering everything that I told her that was missing or so I thought. I received my new package today (April 16) and.... IT WAS STILL WRONG. I’m just trying to figure out how when I repeated to her about 4x everything that was missing!!!! I don’t know if I’ll ever order from this site again. They have great party supplies but something has to change seriously because no one wants to spend tons of money on stuff and never receive it or it’s not done correctly."
"I placed an order last week and you guys made a mistake and sent me a ton of cobalt blue cups instead of the personalized ones for my son's birthday TOMORROW. I called and spoke with Jodi who said they had a mistake in the computer system and asked me if this was for the fortnite birthday to which I said yes, so apparently they knew about the issue beforehand. Jodi offered to give me a refund or have it sent to arrive on the 37th which was unacceptable to me and so I asked for a supervisor. After a brief hold, she said he could not speak to me as he was on the phone, but suddenly she could have the order sent overnight but "couldn't guarantee what time". After looking up FEDEX's services, I confirmed they do in fact, have next day overnight to arrive by 10:30am. I asked Jodi if she could call Fedex or make sure it is sent using that service, to which she replied that she could not call Fedex, and could "request" that specific service, but it would not be guaranteed. Again, this does not solve the problem. I asked, AGAIN, for the supervisor, again she placed me on hold and said that he said he could not talk to me and would call me back. I offered to wait and Jodi said I could not wait. In the end, I have no idea when my items will arrive and have not heard from her supervisor yet. I plan to place an google/facebook updated review of my experience once I see what happens tomorrow. Customer service was not helpful at all. Perhaps i will contact the BBB."
"I placed a large order for my son's 1st birthday- 100 attendees. The order was largely personalized favours for each child. My order arrived incomplete and when I contacted customer service, was told the items would be expedited. Not only did my order NEVER arrive, I was not informed it never actually shipped- due to being in Canada. Apparently, Canadians aren't afforded the same value as customers.
When I contacted customer service AGAIN to inquire about the replacement order- I was informed of this unfortunate fact, and was told " ha, yeah, Tyler probably just said he would ship them without checking if we could".
So, imagine trying to explain to a 5 year olds why everyone else had personalized mugs, and they didn't.
I would absolutely never, ever, ever purchase from this company again. "
"I placed and order of $150 for my daughters 7th birthday, which I was very excited about. I paid extra money for a guaranteed delivery of products on the 26th, as my daughters party was planned the 27th.
The items were not scheduled to come in until the 29th! When I called, the service was terrible. Even after speaking to management, they showed no action or Initiative resolve my issue which was a very big one!
After using my tracking number to trace my package, I found it was in Ocala, 4 hours away from me. I called and spoke to Fedex when cofirmed that Birthday in a box used the lowest priority of shipping available, but still had the opportunity to expedite the package to get it to me on time. I was also able to drive and pick it up, but either option required a confirmation by Birthday in a box.
I called Birthday in Box back to speak to the same manager (Candice). Candice would not take my call so I was stuck on the phone with Mike, who like Candice promised to call me back after finding a resolution.
Neither of the employees called me back and I spent a lot of money for products that are now worthless to me. I am deeply disappointed in the mishandle of my
order , but outraged at the lack of lack of service. The “manager” was girl who couldn’t have been older than 21.
Don’t waste your time or money."
"I placed an order. Although I didn't realize that the shipping date would be after the party (gave it a week). I called less than 5 minutes after submitting the order and I was told it was already printed. I could not cancel. I asked if I could expedite the shipping, couldn't even do that. It's not packed its not shipped. Now they will accept the return but can't change the order to get me my stuff.
Now why wouldn't you want to help me get my stuff on time when it's already in your warehouse instead of me returning it and you having to put it all back? REALLY.!!!
I find it very hard to believe that you can't make a change to an order and my only recourse it so send it back.

I called about an order that i should have received that day. i had placed the order week prior. the lady who answered my call said it never processed & didnt know why. she suggested a refund which i didnt want & told her no i wanted the items. she said it had to be reordered & in the end i had to pay an extra $50 for the exact same items on the order because they charged me for overnight shipping & more tax. i originally had 20% off & free shipping. she said there was no management i could speak to & that she could only refund me half the shipping costs. i took it because at that point i had no time to reorder from anywhere else. very rude people. i did receive my items only complaint on the products is i ordered stickers that were basically printed on sticker paper. i could have done that myself. dont waste your time. Wish i would have read reviews first. "
"I placed my order with birthday in a box before I read the reviews. After I read all of the awful reviews I was a little concerned, especially since I screwed up and put the wrong street address on my order. I contacted the company through email as well as through Facebook messenger. The person who emailed me back told me they couldn’t do anything and I’d have to contact FedEx once the package shipped. The person on Facebook however, told me that they would fix the issue. The next few days I was worried I wouldn’t get the package, but it came right on time! I was missing one thing from my order, but I contacted them through Facebook again and they quickly took care of the issue. They seem to have great customer serivce, as long as you contact them through Facebook messenger. I’m so glad I was able to get the Dr Seuss theme birthday pack for my daughter and nieces birthday next week. The only thing that I can see that other people are complaining about that is true is that they do send orders in boxes that are bigger than they need to be, with little to no packaging. But all of my stuff arrived intact and not damaged. I mean you are getting paper and plastic products, they don’t need much protection. For the price you pay, you get a good deal! Try going to a party store and getting personalized gifts for the same price. You can’t! I will definitely use them again and recommended them to others! "
"I received my package today in a huge box far to big for my order with no packaging inside. My cups are crushed and the plates are bent too, so disappointed after spending so much money! I won’t recommend this company and won’t use them again because they clearly don’t care about the condition it arrives in, once you’ve paid and it’s left their site, who cares right!"
