"Well made, descent price. 1 of the larger blinds came in bent, but valance covered kink in headrail- so we let it go. Very well packaged. Only complaint is that verticals should have longer brackets to allow slats to rotate past moulding around slider without hitting as slats traverse."

"Since I have made 2 separate purchases from Blindster, my rating is for both purchases. Both orders were for vertical blinds, the first for fabric, in "contrast claret", the second for faux wood in bright white. We also chose the "Inside the window opening" option,with pull rods, not corded. After speaking on the telephone to one of their sales reps, we also got the optional slats that stiffen the fabric, and provide a bit more thermal protection and should stop the fabric from fading in the Florida sun. I am very glad we spent the extra money as the fabric alone is a bit flimsy. These backings are a bit of an "off white" color and have clear edges to hold the fabric in place. These edges ARE visible, buy the overall effect is quite nice. They also come with rounded cornered valances, which you will probably need as sunlight comes through the holes where the vanes attach, and also in the space between the track and the vanes. They finish the window wonderfully, BUT if you are adding curtains or sheers you will need to either buy extended rods or do as I did and mount brackets for "standard" depth rods on 3/4 inch blocks to get clearance from the valance. Not really a big deal, but something you should consider. The second order we got the Bright White Faux Wood since these are for areas that will have higher moisture (Bathrooms). The they also come with valances, but these have square corners, and unlike the round corners, come unassembled. It does take a bit of patience to get these right and on mine, the faux wood panels for the valance were cut exactly the length of the front panel, which leaves a 1/4 inch gap of clear plastic at each corner. I solved this problem by cutting my "Extra" blade to give me the fit and look I desired. (A square and a sharp knife makes quick work of it). This works for my narrower windows, but one of my windows is longer than it is high, I called customer service and tried to explain my issue, with limited success. Perhaps it was my fault in explaining my issue, but after E-mailing a picture of the valance as they provided it, and one of my "Fix" the customer service rep (Kelly) understood my problem, and they are sending me a piece of oversized material to replace the piece, free of charge. It should be here soon, (California to Florida does take a bit of time). My overall impression of this company is that they are customer service oriented, produce a quality product, custom made, and at a good price. I have 3 more rooms to remodel and plan to buy the blinds I will need from them. Also, within their web site, they give excellent instructions concerning measuring your new blinds, AND they will send you free samples of their vanes so you can get the color you want without trying to guess about color. I would recommend you get a wider selection of colors and textures than you think you want, if for no other reason than it takes about 10 days to get your samples (probably less if you are closer to California, perhaps a bit more if you are further away than Florida. "
