Terrible Service!

"It took me 3 calls to customer service to even get their email address. I purchased a "Limited Lifetime Warranty" case in November of 2017. The case cracked sent them a picture of the case, and receipt. They said I didn't have an account! Then ask 3xs what name I wanted the account in. They like playing games. Don't recommend this company for any product. HORRIBLE customer service. "

BEEN A CUSTOMER FOR YEARS. THEY DONT GIVE A THEM ABOUT CUSTOMERS!

"BEEN A CUSTOMER FOR YEARS. I GOT TWO REPLACEMENTS BEFORE BUT LOOKS LIKE THE LIFETIME WARRANTY IS FAKE, BECAUSE MY GLASS JUST BROKE AGAIN AND I WHEN I TRY TO GET ANOTHER REPLACEMENT ON THE WEBSITE SOME HOW THEY CAN'T TAKE MY CARD INFO. I TRY 3 DIFFERENT CREDIT CARDS WITH DIFFERENT BANKS AND I GOT THE SAME (BS) SO I DECIDE TO CALL THEM. GOOD LUCK THE LADY AT THE PHONE JUST PRETTY MUCH TOLD ME; SHE CANT DO NOTHING ABOUT IT, SINCE THE WEBSITE CANT TAKE MY CARDS... LMFAO SERIOUSLY? SO I GUESS THEY LIFETIME WARRANTY MEANS: "UNTIL WE WANT, MAYBE ONE TIME, MAYBE TWO TIMES OR MAYBE NEVER" BE A WARE! "

Terrible

"I purchased a case and pure screen protector combo from AT&T when i purchased my S7 on 01/09/2017 putting my complete confidence in the product. Well tonight 09/01/2018 i dropped my phone for its first ever real bump and heard a pronounced cracking, so i picked the phone up and to my horror saw cracks everywhere, but feeling confident began to peel off the screen "protector" waiting to see the cracks peel away with it leaving a pristine phone screen underneath until i noticed that the cracks weren't coming off with the "protector" and once fully removed to my dismay i could see that my phones screen was utterly obliterated... So much for any protection whatsoever, the screen is shattered beyond belief and i cant even assess where the point of impact was because of how many cracks there are and when you remove the "protector" it self destructs as well taking any evidence with it. I cant even utilize my screen protector warranty because i now need to get a new phone. Thanks."

TOTAL SCAM - DO NOT USE THEM!

"I will give them credit about the helpfulness of the Chat room. The person was patient and professional.

HOWEVER, they don't tell you that when you buy BodyGuardz that you need to give them your Credit Card when you request a replacement AND they pick extremely expensive shipping: $5.95 plus TAX. So now, your replacement costs $6.54. But wait, there's more. You must send YOUR broken screen protector back (another $1.13 for the stamp). Now you are in it for $7.68. For that price, what is "FREE" about the "LIFETIME FREE REPLACEMENTS????" No option to walk in to the AT&T shop and get the replacement, oh, no, that would be much too easy. So, AVOID. Order your replacement cover online for less than $8.

One more thing, I registered my screen protector, as instructed, when I purchased it. When I went out to my account, the replacement plan DID NOT SHOW. I had to contact the Chat room to ask about it and the customer service rep said it was missing due to a computer error but that it could be fixed, which it was. But if it was easy to fix, why didn't they do it automatically instead of waiting? BodyGuardz seems to be doing all it can to AVOID HONORING THEIR COMMITMENT.

Pure scam - stay away from this

"Bought it from AT&T - paid $60+ and after less than a week the first crack was showing up (Galaxy Note 8) for no reason. After a few more weeks and without reason (full protective case also around the phone - no dropping and I have an office job where the phone sits next to my keyboard all day long) the screen protector looks like a spider-web.
I tried to order a replacement protector, $10 + tax for shipping plus you have to ship back the broken glass, all at your own expense. Not to mention you have to provide a credit card which makes me really nervous and others' here have already stated they got charged without reason.
Just avoid these guys - pure scam, order a decent protector from amazon or the likes and you will pay less than you pay in total for the replacement. Reading on this page, I'm not the only one having problems with their products and customer service.
ATT is not doing themselves any favors reselling these products - they probably never used one themselves.

Falseness

"I am a little **** about how they make it sound like this product is great. I wasn't told their would be a shipping fee for the replacement. i have had it for 6 months and have had to replace it twice already. 2 weeks ago the new one came and cracked 4 days later no drop, no nothing. So as of now i have already spent $75.00 and still no screen protector. I blame not only this company but ATT for selling a lifetime warranty product free replacements and fail to tell you the product **** and no you still pay shipping. "

Warranty scam

"I ordered a replacement screen protector because mines cracked a few days after having it, I mailed in the old screen protector with the envelope the provided & they had the nerve to charge me $39.95 saying they never received it , that I should’ve sent it be certified or overnight. I was never told this & why should I pay extra when I paid 5
$5.95 to send the replacement. I HATE them they are scammers!!

Warranty scam

"Th screen broke so I called for a replacement. (There was a guarantee. That’s why it’s so damned expessvive!) the replacement came and I sent back the broken screen, as directed. But, a month after, they charged my card for the replacement! They said I didn’t send it back. Clearly a scam. Don’t believe them!!! "

Not the best

"Did not last one week. Did not mishandle my phone, they send me a new one but that didnt even last me one day. Called them for a refund said they couldn't. They said if I wanted something else it was going to be more. I already paid $50 for the first one, if your product don't work give me my refund."

Shady business

"Unlike many of the other reviewers, I had no issue with the glass protector. It stuck on just fine, it took a few falls, and finally acquired many cracks, so within about 9 months of use, I took advantage of the free lifetime replacement offer.

First off, when I see “FREE US SHIPPING” plastered all over the site, I felt a bit lied to when I learn that the “free replacement” is the only thing not covered by that. That’s not even mentioning that the actual cost to send the replacement via USPS first class is less than the $6.00 they charge as “shipping.” Whatever. They have to cover their cost (aka this piece of plastic ain’t worth $40).

Oh, and if you buy multiple protectors, you are required to replace each one in a separate order. They want their $6.00 for each protector - another sign that this fee has little to do with shipping, because if I had 4 screen protectors, and I wanted to replace them all under this program, rather than combining the shipping, I would have to pay $6.00 for each one (for a total of $24).
Once again, whatever. They’re greedy. What else is new.

But here’s where the shadiness starts: part of the replacement program is the requirement that you send back your old protector (which makes me wonder why I registered my original product to begin with) and when you send it back, they require you to pay for the return shipping. In all reality, the old protector can be shipped back with a regular $.49 stamp. They even claim that on their website! HOWEVER, if you don’t buy tracking for the old one, as if by magic, they won’t receive it and if they don’t receive it, you will be charged for the full price of “free replacement.” USPS occasionally screws up, but as someone who used USPS regularly to ship items across the globe for my own store, they don’t screw up often, and when they do, the item is generally not lost, just damaged. If it is lost, then that’s usually because the address was wrong, but BodyGuardz sends you the return envelope so you don’t have to deal with writing the address.
Fact is, they’re just claiming they didn’t receive it, so they can charge you again.

Oh, and good luck trying to close your account or remove your credit card information, they don’t give you the option to without contacting their support people.

This company has unethical business practices. Get your piece of sticky plastic from someone else.
If it’s too late for you, keep your original receipt and remember that two can play at this game - when they claim that they didn’t receive your old protector, claim you didn’t receive your replacement. You did register your original one for a reason.

A lifetime guarantee? What, of a mayfly?

"About three years ago my wife and I bought Samsung Galaxy S5 phones, and from the AT&T store we bought Bodyguardz screen protectors with what seemed great, a lifetime replacement guarantee! Wow, for a handling charge of about $7, we could get a brand new protector. So my wife's protector got cracked and I went to Bodyguardz.com to order a replacement. None available -- what? Since it was after hours, I emailed the company and the next morning got a message back: they only stock screen guards until they run out of stock, until demand decreases. So the lifetime guarantee is not for MY lifetime, or the PHONE'S lifetime, but THEIR SUPPLY's lifetime! I called Customer Service and spoke with a sympathetic person, but she could do nothing for me, as they did not have a single one in stock and would not order more.

Had I known when I fist bought the screen protector that I could only replace it for about two years, I may have still bought it to protect my investment, but I most likely would have looked elsewhere. I suggest that any reader of this review do the same -- look elsewhere!
