"Had my first experience with Borrow Lenses. They had great prices on some additional equipment I needed for a shoot. With Memorial Day weekend, I basically got a 3-day rental for 5-days which was a nice bonus.

The equipment arrived in good condition, and worked perfectly. The return process includes a return label and the packaging was awesome and easily reusable.

I had some issues when the credit card used to reserve the equipment months earlier had changed. I got nervous that I might lose my reservation, but I called and they were friendly and helpful. They re-entered my order with the new info and got everything out on time.

The only caveat, and this may vary based on where you live is they used FedEx to ship and return the item. FedEx is horrible in my area (New York). It's 45 minutes from my house and unlike UPS, FedEx will NOT PICKUP these packages. I had to drive 45 minutes away to drop them off. Next time I'll call and request UPS and pay additional if necessary to avoid the hassle. "

I might suggest choosing to pick your order up at a UPS/FedEX location otherwise you can knock a day off your rental due to delivery time. "Rented ColorMunki to sync up my printer and both monitors. I could not get the software to run. Since Borrow Lenses decided to supply necessary s/w they need to make sure it's updated and that it works. There's a hot fix that I had to search for download and install to make it work. I spend considerable time researching the problem. This Hot fix needs to be part of the s/w bundle that was supplied on thumb drive along with the X-Rite. Also provided version of software was old. There's free new version online available. Also shipping for this item is very high. Over 50% of overall cost of borrowing it was for shipping and that is without extra insurance. Outrages. "
