"purchased an XP2500 Barton
CPU was covered by antistatic bag!!!
Works great, shipped fast for ground."
"poor poor poor customer service. never received my item due to local mail not delivering to mailbox (shipment was marked returned before it reached my town). buyaib stated a 6-MONTH!! wait period before they declaire the package lost. Never heard from them and now when I try to contact them, they do not answer the phone during office hours and I hear people pickup and hang up the line. I'm ready to report them to a "better business"-type agency!"
"WORST PRODUCTS AND SERVICE IN THE COMPUTER BUSINESS. I purchased $1600 on memory which was stated to have a "lifetime warranty". Two pieces went bad within the first 18 months. They exchanged these two for me, but when one of the replacement DIMMs went bad 6 months later, they refused to do anything, stating that the memory was out of warranty and that their warranty policy had been changed to 1-year. Great customer service for a big purchase. I can only imagine how bad they are with smaller purchases.
BUYER BEWARE."
"I ordered an Athlon XP 2500+ before I knew that this place existed and all these people had been ripped off. I received my package after 3 days. The CPU was covered with a piece of cardboard and a rubber band, with no anti-static device. The box was filled with foam peanuts, perfect static attractors. I'm very lucky in the sense that there were no bent pins and the CPU booted. The CPU works, so they're not getting my restocking fee! HA!
DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS VENDOR!!! THEY ARE A RIP-OFF AND A FRAUD! I WILL BE REPORTING THEM TO THE BBB HERE IN CALIFORNIA! I ADVISE EVERYONE HERE TO DO THE SAME!
DO NOT PURCHASE THINGS FROM THIS FRAUDULENT COMPANY!!!"
"I recently purchased a CPU upgrade of an Athlon 2600+/266 Thoroughbred "B" in order to play Doom 3. The chip came attached to a piece of cardboard and wrapped with a rubber band. I'm lucky the thing would even boot. Once i got it running it was obvious that the chip was defective... it overheating and became completely unstable once it hit temps as low as 50 degrees celsius. I missed the short 7 day return windows trying to fix this problem and am selling it on ebay to try and cut my losses. The one other time I bought from buyaib they sent me a Radeon 8500 that was also defective. I wish I'd read this page earlier. Don't buy from these people."
"HOLY COW!!!
Please understand I was a first time customer (and last) when I ordered from buyaib.com. I did not know about resellerratings.com and only reviewed the ratings on pricewatch.com (are those positive reviews from real people?). Anyway ordered the AMD Barton 2500. Received the same in two days via US postal service! However, once I removed the item from the small padded envelope, first thing I noticed was no anti-static bag. Cpu was in a hard plastic tray with a cut out cardboard lid held in place by rubber band. What I found inside was what I had ordered but with several chipped areas on the core and approx. 10 bent pins!!!. Discovered the bent pins after cpu wouldn't go into socket. Carefully straightened pins and held my breath. Amazingly the cpu works 100% and runs cool. Guess they won't be getting my 15% restocking fee! I recommend shopping else where unless you want damaged goods. Has any one paid a visit to the physical store? Would be interested in what you found."
"This company is a fraud. Unfortunately i did order this from Pricewatch.com without reading here the Store Reseller reviews.
This is what happened. I ordered my 2x512mb A-Data Viesta PC4000 for 236 USD. UPS brought it today 8/6/2004. I was still half asleep as the UPS guy gave me the package so i went back to the bedroom. I opened the package while my wife was right beside me.
What did i got ? 236 Dollar worth of AIR. No Invoice, no peanuts and sure no memory. Well now i have to see how it turns out but i m not very satisfied as well. I will force my money back through the bank if they dont do refund me my money in a short amount of time.
I just can WARN everybody who is going to buy from this company, by now i think the pricewatch feedbacks are fake somebody needs to do something about them they are already to long in business.
No conctact from them til today. All i can say is that i informed UPS to run an investigation, the BBB, the FBi Fraud department and also the Federal Trade Commission.
If you experienced fraud through that company please inform the BBB, FBi, FTC and the Shipper who has been used.
Credit Card Company as well to get your full amount of money back. "
"I would not purchase from this vendor again.
I purchased "micron or major brand" PC3200 memory from these people and it will not reliably operate at greater than 266MHz.
Nobody answers emails or the phone. Better to spend your money on a reliable online vendor who will support you. I have had good luck with Newegg.

"**WARNING** I think this may be a fraudulent operation, considering my experience and all the negative reviews on Pricewatch.com. I did not receive what I ordered, and most of my order was defective upon arrival. I ordered three memory chips. The merchant failed to keep my account up to date on the web site, so I could never tell if it shipped. I finally had to contact them to ask where it was and they said it just shipped (well over a week after it was ordered). Was this delay because I didn't pay the expedite fee? What I ultimately got was three memory chips of half the size I paid for. Two of them were even bad and all appeared not to be new. I had failed to read the reviews before ordering (lesson learned). When I did read them, many customers spoke about having similar experiences. Given that most of the positive reviews were almost copies of one another, I must assume many are fake. I wrote the merchant asking for a resolution. Two days later, they wrote back saying they would just give me a refund. I would have settled for the correct order, but that wasn't offered. Strange, I thought. After a week of waiting for the promised postage-paid return package that was supposed to take a couple of days to arrive, I sent back the order at my own expense (with proof-of-signature service for the credit card dispute I was expecting to file). Another week after the return was signed for, I had still heard nothing nor received a refund. After checking the web site, I saw my order status was changed to cancelled. I finally initiated an investigation with my credit card company. A few days later, the refund appeared on my account. I won't hold my breath waiting for reimbursement of the return shipping. This entire ordeal took over a month from order to refund. It appears from the other reviews and my own, that this company does this sort of thing routinely. Perhaps they think that by stalling most people will give up the pursuit of a resolution or refund. Perhaps they get away with this enough to make money without actually having the merchandise to sell. You have been warned."
"bought memory from buyaib, sent me the wronge memory, called them up some girl anserd the phone;ask here what shood i do, said that i can send back the memory for the correck one.

"What a RIP off. This company if it is a real company at all should be thrown in jail. I ordered 1 stick of AIB 1GB PC2700 DDR333 NonECC Unbuffered DDR ram, the price looked good and they seemed to have a good rating acording to Pricewatch.com. Yeh right, there probably writing there own reviews.Any ways the stick was defective, so I tried to call them. After being disconnected twice finaly got through to some one who answered the phone with yeh. Told the person my problem and then was transfered to tech. After about 5 min. was disconnected. I fire off an e-mail and this was there responce and I quote:
"I apologize for the lack of customer service. We are
currently looking to restaff our customer service
department. I am sorry to hear that you are having
trouble with the ram you received. Other than our
memory configurator we do not have a cross reference
to assist you with compatibility. I would suggest that
you return the item for a replacement.
All of our RMA numbers are issued online. When you
submit the desired return option you will receive an
order number (this is your RMA number). Please return
the package with delivery confirmation and reference
your RMA number.

Needless to say I called my credit card co. Any way they covered the disputed item. Finaly buyaib
credits my card part of what they owe, so I fire off one more e-mail to ask them why they did not credit my card the full amount, here is what they had to say and I quote:" Dear Customer,
A restocking fee applies to all items returned for a refund. However
there
is no charge for replacement this is why we have the warranty. We need
to
charge a restocking fee when we submit the refund because the credit
card
company charges us for the purchased and then again for the credit
transaction. Not to mention the shipping/packaging, the percentage
that
yahoo! receives and we need to pay our employees.
As stated prior to purchase "15% Restocking Fee According to the Market
Value"
"1 Year Warranty "
The long and short of it is this company is a fraud. Do your self a favor and do NOT buy anything from these CONS.
buyaib.com should be buyaib.con Peace out. One more thing, contact your credit card co., they will work with you, and most likly you will get ALL your money back. Together we'll put these A-holes out of business."
"These people have the worst customer service that I have ever encountered. Top that off with selling memory that is suppose to work with a specific chipset, yet it doesn't work with the chipset. Then try and get a refund and you run into the customer service hassle that says they are going to charge a restocking fee because the ram will not work with that chipset. When asked about this fee they said they have to pay yahoo. I didn't order through Yahoo, nor did my order have anything to do with yahoo. Then they said they were going to reestock the ram, I guess this means they are going to sell it to another unsuspecting customer and try and get a restocking fee out of them also. If I were Yahoo I would put as much distance between my site and theirs. I hope this message is seen by others so that they will beware of purchasing from this so called company. When the customer service finally answered the phone, it sounded like I was talking an unprofessional crook who really didn't care about their customer. I also have a friend who bought Ram from them and had the same expierience. Read the feed back at pricewatch.com. Evidently I am not the only one they have ripped off."
"My purchase was for a brand new stick of Micron PC2100 256mb ram. It was sent in generic packaging and had strong evidence of wear from previous use. Then I discovered it was not Micron ram at all but a generic brand. I called customer support to complain and they sounded indifferent to the problem and told me to return it for an exchange. I requested a refund and they said I would be charged a restocking fee even though though they sent me the wrong ram and it was used. I did return it and they charged the fee. I will never use them again!"
"I ordered Low Density PC 2700 DDR that was compatible with my motherboard. They sent it to me and I installed it an immediatly received errors. I ran diagnostics on other machines with it in it to be sure it was the RAM. The RAM was bad and I RMA back to them, they said the RAM was good and charged me 15 percent restocking for bad RAM. They sent me bad RAM and charged me instead of just sending good RAM. Beware, they are a bad business out for your money!"
"Great prices, very fast shipping. My only minor gripe is that I received no notification of shipping, and as far as I can tell their website does not give shipping status.
If you're looking for RAM, they have a great compatibility verifier. Some of the RAM deals offer no restocking fees without paying additionally up front, just in case you do get some RAM that doesn't work for you.
I'd recommend and buy from BuyAIB again. They're much better than another reseller that I had a terrible experience with."
