"Overall our experience had been very good. We love the support staff and teachers. We were big fans of Angelina and (as noted earlier) became very disappointed in the subsequent director Margaret. She seemed distracted, disinterested, or even passive aggressive at times- her good days outweighed by the bad interactions. We got to point where we basically viewed Abby and the other admin support staff as the ones actually running the day care - they were and have always been caring and genuine every day despite stresses of covid and busy schedules. Margaret just seemed to be a 9-5 person not truly engaged in the success of the kids attending the school (she often showed up after many kids were already there and left before pick up - Abby and others serving as the face of the school).We don’t enjoy giving negative feedback about the former director but feel it’s important to be totally transparent about our experiences. We have decided to start based on the staff and teachers - & appreciate Angelina effort"

"Angelina was a great director, and we were sad to see her go. We went in open minded with Margaret, but she had no desire to get to know us (or our kids, I believe), and she was very rude. For instance, one day we had a two year well check, and we notified the school the day before. We arrived just after 10 AM, and Margaret scolded us for arriving late, even though they were notified, and it was a yearly well check. This was just a small instance of dealing with her. There were multiple over the short time she was there. She felt very inflexible, which I understand, but not everything can be black and white when dealing with families and children. We aren't sad to see her go, and we look forward to having a new director on board soon."

"I have had wonderful experiences with the teachers in this school. They are knowledgable, caring, and patient with my son. I could not have asked for better role models and teachers to lead my child to success. However, I feel that teachers are not as happy at the school as a parent would hope they would be. I have this viewpoint based on the idea that there has been high teacher turn over in the past few months. My son, in Pre-School, has lost his teacher, and this is a very critical time in his education to get him ready for Pre-K and Kindergarten. Ms. McKenzie and Mr. Tyler have done a great job stepping in for that classroom, and without them, my son would not be as successful as he has been."

"Since COVID, we haven't been able to come into the classroom and because of that I don't know the weekly curriculum they are working on. I wish I knew what my child was learning so we can work on it at home too. I feel like he used to do better when he was learning the same things at home as he is at school. Margaret the new director doesn't communicate with us as much as a previous Director and I hardly ever see her. Angelina (the previous Director) made such a point to communicate with us all the time and greet us every morning. She made us feel so welcomed and loved and I feel like that is really missing now. I don't even think Margaret knows my childs name, she just refers to him as friend the few times we have seen her."

"We've been very happy at the Children's Courtyard. We loved the former director, Angelina and have been happy to far with the new director. COVID has been difficult and I miss being able to be inside the building and the special events that aren't possible right now but I very much appreciate all the hard work the staff and teachers do to make it a special, safe and nurturing place for children. My daughter has thrived from the infant room through the pre-school classroom she is currently in."

The main teachers we have had so far; Ms Kafuki, Ms Leticia and Ms Denise have cared for our son so well and balance kindness and respect perfectly. We are grateful for their dedication and care. The only thing I would change is more organized communication. We receive a lot of communication through the app and emails but sometimes I don't quite understand the full context or what is being asked."
