"Stay away from this company. I found a good price on a Canon camera. I placed my order online and had to call to confirm it. Strange. And when I did, the rep told me that it was an import model, in Japanese with no way to change it, was plastic, and didn't come with anything. I told him that was unacceptable and he then tried to sell me a USA model or another camera. He tried to claim that Closeout Digital was an authorized Canon dealer and I laughed at him because I had the authorized dealer list from Canon pulled up on my computer as we spoke. He continued to try to sell me higher cameras and I told him I wasn't interested that I can find better prices online from actual authorized dealers. He said there would be a cancellation fee and hung up. I immediately called my credit card company and canceled my card before they could make a charge. Again, stay away!"
"I found Closeout Digital via Google Search, and found a very low price on a Nikon lens. I read the listing carefully and even called the rep with questions about the lens and the warranty. After making the purchase I received a call from the same rep who then gave me new information about the lens, saying that it would not work on DSLR, and then proceeded to upsell me another ~$550. I placed a call to Nikon to confirm his claim that there was a version of this lens not compatible with DSLR. Their response was that there is only one lens mount for it, regardless of whether it's the import or USA version, and that it would work with film and digital cameras, which left me feeling that Closeout Digital was giving out misleading or false information. When I called Closeout Digital again, Ben the rep, told me that if I cancelled the order I'd be charged a 10% cancellation fee and not get a refund on the CPS warranty. I thought this was unfair, both because the information on the listing was not clearly stated, and because the rep's assertion about the lens compatibility was false according to Nikon. "
"Closeout Digital staff is very knowledgable. They contacted me before shipping my order as I had inadvertnently oedered the wrong lens for my camera. The order was corrected and shipped in a timely fashion. Very satisfied with the overall expierence.
****UPDATE*****
Still have not recieved the lens hood that was ordered. Got 2 different stories when calling customer service and Closeout Digital never returns a e-mail. The first story was the lens hood would be shipped if I filled out survey with 5 stars....The second story is it is back ordered but shipment was on the way to their warehouse. After this transaction my expierence would be to avoid Closeout Digital....

I called 2 weeks ago and they asked if I filled out a survey....I asked them to just tell me that they were never going to ship it and I would be happy. Customer service said no that they would ship it that day....another lie.....AVOID THIS COMPANY......"

"I decided to purchase a Nikon 18-200mm lens for my D60. I was thinking if I could find the original VR lens I could get a good price on it. I saw that Closeout Digital had them so I ordered it on June 5th. Tom called me the next day and said that it was no longer available... no surprise to me. I asked him what the price was on the VRii. He quoted me $699. I ordered it and the next day when I looked at my AMEX I was charged $866. I emailed them and they said it was the wrong price and would be adjusted. Well it was not. So then I got a message to call and enter extension 100. THAT IS WHEN I MET BEN! Ben is GREAT. Yes, it took a while for everything to be resolved. Ben and I chatted and when I told him I could get the lens elsewhere for $669 he got it for me at that price after talking to his supervisor. He also made the adjustment on my AMEX I personally called Ben when all was resolved and thanked him again. My kudos to Ben. BTW luckily I was not in a hurry for the lens. I would consider buying from Closeout Digital again. Maybe they have stuff for my N60.
