"CPAP.com offers excellent order fulfillment and shipping, and has reasonable prices on merchandise and shipping. One glitch with my order experience has come through the insurance aspect. I thought that insurance reimbursement would be easy, but not so. CPAP.com makes a downloadable form available, but the instructions that come with it are general and outdated. The form uses very small print, and my insurer (Anthem BCBS) has used this fact as a flimsy excuse to reject the paperwork. If you have insurance, don't assume that your carrier will pay. If you are covered by a company like Anthem that will use any pretense to deny a claim, you'll be eating the cost. Another just discovered issue with the order: machine settings. The air pressure on my CPAP seemed high--it was supposed to be set at 8, according to the prescription sent to CPAP.com. I found out online how to access the machine's pressure settings, and they were at the menu default: Minimum 4, Maximum 20! I wondered why the mask was practically blowing off my face every night."
"Was told I had to by a 109 dollar insurance for a $119 cpap. Why would anyone do that! You pay double but you would still be out $109 plus shipping which would be equivelant to buying the cpap anyways! I know they have a back stick if this item and a home medical provider that I said would be pretty willing to get rid of and I would need it only for a month because of surgery but would still be willing to pay $50 for it, but sadly the recommendation to negotiate and they were highly recommended to me. "
