"The service is great! The power supply for my old Dell desktop began to go bad (electrical burning odor), I googled replacement power supply with my model number and CPUtopia came up.

The part was easy to locate on their website and easy to order. The fact that it was an upgrade (300 watts rather than 250 watts) from the original part was encouraging, since I have replaced this power supply before with an original part from Dell and the two Dell parts both went bad (I've read that Dell tends to design using minimum parts to get by - working on the edge wasn't working for me), and Dell no long carries the power supply on my model. CPUtopia's replacement part was much less expensive than the Dell part I got before, and their part discription with graphics of all the connectors and demensions made me confident that the part would actually fit my old computer. I ordered it late Sunday night with 3 day ground shipping. It was shipped Monday. I got it Thursday and 30 minutes after I opened the box my computer was back in business. The motherboard connector was 24 pin where my computer used a 20 pin and for a brief moment I thought I'd gotten the wrong part. When I looked at the invoice to see, there was a note at the bottom explaining this part fits both 20 and 24 pin motherboards and the 4 extra pins separate from the connector.

All in all everything went flawlessly. CPUtopia has thought this out well and my experience for this part was pleasant. The only negative comment on my experience is that the privacy policy link in the email I got requesting this review does not work and when I submitted this review I was taken to a page where I had to reenter all my review information."

"I have to admit I was a little skeptical with CPUtopia when the price for their power supply is so low and the cost to extend the warranty from the standard 90 days to just 1 year was almost the same price as the unit. I felt (and still do) like this MIGHT be a reflection on the quality of the product. However, so far this unit is performing perfectly. The price I paid for what I ordered was literally the best price I could find on the 'Net. Couple that with very reasonable shipping cost and shockingly fast delivery and I am definitely impressed thus far. I opted for the least expensive shipping and assumed it'd take at least a week to arrive...was I ever WRONG. The box arrived 2 days later in a box marked "USPS Priority Mail". Nicely done! So now we see how long it lasts - I'm pretty hard on my power supplies and hope this holds on."
