"The staff is caring and engaged, but sometimes it feels like they're checking a box with feedings and diaper changes rather than responding to my child's actual needs."
"Love the teachers at Childtime! Only negative is the cost- wish the “extras” (likeMusic and soccer and jump bunch) were included in the curriculum"
"Great school, more positive feedback for the children. I rarely hear what my 2.5 year old does right, mostly only what he does wrong. This needs to be nationally accredited."
"The school will keep children in younger classes so they can keep getting more money until there is another child to take their place then they will rush the transition up to the next class to keep them at maximum capacity and therefore maximum profit."
"Generally the experience was good until the incident occurred I have never felt the same walking through those doors. I feel happier with the current teachers and worrying is less through the day"
"Since entering the school side of the school we've been very pleased. Prior to that it has been hit or miss based on the teachers"
"Generally Suneeta is fantastic and responsive to concerns. The classroom experience is dependent on who the teacher is and can vary widely."
"Up till the beginning of this year it was positive. Then there were a lot of incidents with teachers that although being repeatedly raised with the director, were not addressed and were only resolved in a late and bad fashion."
"Excellent.Just one thing:The stroller room needs better maintenance. It's dirty and smelly. Recently there was a pipe leak due to a construction nearby. My son's stroller got completely wet. I dint' know if the water was sewerage or clean."
"We love Ms. Natali and Ms. Tanya. They are amazing people and talented teachers."
"Childtime has been wonderful in transitioning my daughter to daycare. They are warm and caring. I would like to highlight the teachers dedication and hardwork they put in each day. I have two recommendations for improvement (1) cost (noted above) and (2) allow schedules to be more baby centric instead of rigid for the whole class. This was advertised on the tour. Babies get very little sleep in the class (somedays 1.5 hours for the whole day) because the teachers wait too long to put all babies (under a year) down for a nap at the same time and then wake them up all at the same time to eat lunch etc. together. While it is undertandable that babies cannot adhere to the exact schedule as they do at home, there should be some consideration of variation among baby and effort to promote greater amount of naptime given the importance to health and wellbeing at this age. My daughter waits 2 extra hours for her first nap each day at Childtime compared to at home and sleeps half the amount of time there as compared to home. The other HUGE concern is security. There is a door with a code parents have to enter. When my daughter first started, I never had to enter a code other parents just let me in after them (seems like a security violation). Also teachers and floating teachers released my daughter to me and they did not know who I was. It made me very concerned that someone could enter Childtime without a code and say they were my daughter's parent and leave with her."
"Overall I’m happy. The director and teachers are nice and responsive. My main issue is the costs. Some of the schools in the area have more competitive pricing or have school yards. Also If there are one-on-one type meetings with the teacher, 10 minutes or so, to talk about the child specific issues every several months, I would be very happy. I can talk with teachers every day, but as professionals they most likely realize a lot of things about the kid. If I can have time to get more feedback and discuss where to improve, what is the strength etc, that would be valueable to me."
"The school will listen when there is a problem but will not resolve it. You need to approach again and again and remind them about your child needs. When transferring from one class to the other the information doesn’t follow you need to ask again and again. I am still waiting to hear back from school director about an issue from last week. When one of the teacher had an accident (a safety accident) the school did not update the parents until the children started talking, Also no fresh fruits and veggies. Meal plan should be looked at to see if it really suits children’s needs."
"We have been very happy with our experience at Childtime. The teachers are experienced, the environment is friendly and stimulating, and although my kids are still infants, its clear that Childtime is substantially helping their development."
"Great. The only negative is that he has had several teachers this year due to turnover so I would prefer more consistency. Otherwise, we have only had a positive experience."
