"OK, I am frustrated with this company right now, and even more so with Amazon. I ordered a CD from them on the 23rd of March (24 days ago). I tried "tracking" my order through their website, and this is the biggest joke I have ever seen. What a crock of SH*T. It only gives me my own address and the order number saying "confirmed", whatever that actually means.
I ordered another CD the same day from FRANCE, and I received it 10 days later, which is totally fair considering that it is international. I live in Puerto Rico, which is part of the US postal system, and Caiman ships all products from Miami, which normally takes 3-5 days to receive shipped items.
Another thing, I received a confirmation email from Amazon that my order was placed the same day. When I checked the estimated ship dates it said it was estimated to ship between March 23rd and April 22nd. Now when I check it, it says it will ship from April 23rd to May 22nd.
I recognize that items can take time to be "in stock" and this is why I have opted for two stars now. I reserve the right, however, to downgrade that if I do not get a proper response from them, with either the product I ordered, or a valid response.

UPDATE (May 12): I am still waiting for my item. I contacted them again and asked when my item will be shipping. "Sue" responded that my item was on back-order, and it would be another 2-3 weeks before it could be shipped. Add to that the 7-21 business days they say it will take to get here, and by this calculation, the earliest my CD will get to me is June 3rd (this is 72 days - over 10 weeks).
This company is from hell, and I am about to contact them directly. I WANT MY DAMN PRODUCT. "
"It was a learning experience for me because I had never witnessed a company that cared less about their customers than Caiman does. After the second e-mail from them you realize that there's no humans working in their "customer service" but only robots. This was a wake-up call for me and in a way good for me because I didn't really check the reviews. I had several good transactions from them before. The warning signs I didn't heed were; they don't have a customer service phone number, their ratings were far below other sellers, they never supply a return address and since everything was previously fine you didn't think about that, their ratings with the West Palm Beach Better Business Bureau gives them a rating of "F", It's all there on the Internet to find and avoid problems with companies like this. Another red flag was going to their "tracking site" and getting no response as to were your items are, you think it's just a mistake until they screw up your order and then you realize you have been scammed all along. I have waited the requisite 3 weeks after 11 e-mails with rote responses from them to file a claim at Amazon. I will now have to pay the credit card bill or receive a bad credit rating, and have to wait another two weeks to see if it is resolved. My problem with them is they sent me the wrong item. If this happens to you, keep the item if it's in any way acceptable. Avoid the hassle. Marc"
"I am amazed Amazon has not been sued because of Caiman. After reading many of the complaints here, I realize I will never get my money back from them. I'm sure I will eventually get it from Amazon after a month or more, but who pays the interest on my credit card. What happens to the money they get during that month. I'm convinced what they are doing is illegal & maybe the new administration in Washington will be more willing to crack down on companies like this. I am going to pursue this."
"Ordered a book on 1/17/09 with a ship date of 1/21/09. It's 1/22/09 and Caiman still has not shipped it. After reading the other reviews on this website, I am canceling the order.
Update: Order appears to have been canceled within a day of making the request."
"This was, by far, the worst customer service experience I have ever had. I placed an order through Amazon on 12/15/08 for a gift (with expedited shipping, 2-6 days), which was processed through Caiman. On 12/18/08, I get an email that the package was shipped, but no tracking number is provided (Amazon always provides a tracking number, and most of its other merchants do too).
Of course, as of 1/6/09 the package, which was a gift, still hasn't arrived. Like most others on here, all I got was canned responses to my inquiries to Caiman. The most recent and entirely laughable email said that packages can take 21 days to be delivered (with expedited shipping?) and I should wait until 1/19/09 to see if the package is delivered. That is 35 days after my order was placed and 32 days after it was allegedly shipped with USPS priority mail.
I have a feeling this company doesn't bother shipping half of the orders placed through them, and relies upon people giving up on their orders due to Caiman's terrible customer service. This is why Caiman won't provide you with a tracking number, because then you would be able to call its bluff. In addition to letting Amazon know about this terrible merchant, I plan to visit every forum possible where I can relay my story in an effort to prevent others from using this company, and ideally and hopefully, cost these scam artists some business. In a word, no.
I ordered an electronic A/V switch on Nov 14th. A week later I still had not received any notification of the item having been shipped. I e-mailed Caiman.com to ask if they had any information about my order.
"Your order is being processed and it may take a few days. You will be notified via e-mail once it ships. We apologize for the inconvenience."
By what can only be described as a miracle, I was notified about 3 hours later that it had (finally) been shipped. Call me cynical, but I think the only reason it shipped that day was because I wrote and asked about it. Would it ever have been shipped if I HADN'T asked about it?
I probably would have forgiven them if they'd owned up to their mistake ("We misplaced your order. We'd like to make it up to you by refunding the cost of shipping", or the like), but no dice.
The order finally arrived today--almost three weeks after I placed the order. "
"CD sent promptly, but wrong disc received. Caiman promised to send a pre-paid return label, but never did. In the end, I sent it back on my own dime, and they refunded the purchase price only (not shipping either way, which I paid). Their screw-up, and it cost me $."

"BE VERY CAREFUL when buying anything from this seller. Their own website in the UK gives no detail about what "Region 1" means, and I recently bought a DVD from them that was utterly useless and wouldn't play. Their "policy" is not to give refunds for items bought in error. Their "customer service" is absolute rubbish. I won't be buying anything from them again."

They sent me the wrong CD and then refused to ship a replacement. They insisted on a refund. I shipped their CD back to them over 2 months ago and the same response from "Claire." They will issue a refund once they receive the item. They don't acknowledge any other questions in emails to them, just the same canned response. "

"The worst!!! Wrote them in advance about whether or not a DVD was widescreen. Got a flip response and went ahead and ordered it based on what they told me. Sure enough, what I received was not widescreen. Ordered on the 21st of the month; told I'd receive it by the 29th, but got another email that said it was shipped on the 27th. Crazy emails from people who obviously don't know what it is they're talking about. STAY AWAY!!! DO NOT ORDER FROM THEM UNLESS YOU WANT A BIG HEAD ACHE."
