"I would not order from this company again. Their customer service is impossible to get in touch with. They charge your credit card before the item is even shipped. It took 2 weeks to get an order. it says on their website ships within 24 hours. It took them 11 days to ship the item."
"Browsed their webpage and then called to confirm availability. Since the item was in stock but they only had one, I placed the order over the telephone. The oder was filled the same day and shipped free the next day FedEx Ground. Delivery was in three business days. The item was indeed brand-new, in-the-box and works fine. Communication from them was excellent as I received an email for every step of the order process from placemnt through shipping, even though this was a phone order. No problems here and I will order from them again. Their prices are great, free ground shipping is very nice and a seamless, trouble-free order process is great. My experience was entirely satisfactory!

"Since I placed an online order on a Saturday, I didn't really expect it to be shipped "within 24 hours" on a Sunday. So I checked it on Monday and saw that the ship date was that very day. Checked it on Tuesday and saw that the ship date had changed to that date (Tues). And so on and so on. After a week and a half I called and was told that it had been shipped out already, that very morning and I would receive it by 4:30pm the next day, a Friday. After I received it the following Wednesday, I checked the FedEx tracking and discovered that it had not even been scheduled for pick up until Monday. I hate it when a company out and out lies. A SMALL glitch has come to be. Regardless of the rating, CapLink says they'll credit your account for 2% of the transaction if you leave a rating here. I've written them repeatly and I haven't heard from them nor have I seen a credit on my account. Is this a pervasive problem in them NOT LIVING UP TO THEIR WORD? or an isolated incidence? I'm not sure, but I'm about to pursue this both here and with law-enforcement governing online businesses and file a complaint with the BBB...."
"I've ordered from this store several times without a problem, but my last order with this store has turned into a nightmare. No customer service follow up, no goods delivered and very little professionalism in dealing with this. Odering on the web should be absolutely painless. If there is a problem, it means the store is really doing a bad job and should be avoided. I've been billed but no merchandise. How can this happen? I was billed in August and almost seven weeks later, no follow up, no merchandise. And now no one answering the phone. How scary is that? Caplink Technology needs to be pulled from the shopping web sites until they get their act together. Avoid them like the plague. Run away fast and do not give them your business. "This was not a positive purchase experience. It is now 13 days since the order was placed and an email stated that shipping was to occur 9/13/06. No tracking information is available from the website. When I called today for a status, I allegedly spoke to the sales manager. He was rude, impolite and uncooperative and attitudinally challenged! I managed to find out that the order is not scheduled for delivery until tomorrow. That's twice the quoted shipping time, and exceedingly poor customer service. I obtained the tracking number and just verified the actual ship date: 9/21/06--7 days after the order was received!!!! This is definitely not a "do again"."

"So far I am not very satisfied with Caplink's service. I ordered a radar detector from them on 9/18/2006, as of 11:30PM 9/20/06 my order has NOT been shipped, and the email I sent has not had a response. It states that my order has been received and will ship within 24 hours, 60 hours now and counting.
I bought from Caplink because of price and other reviews, I think i would have rather paid a bit more and purchased from a company that I know well.
Seeing how Caplink is located in Pawtucket, RI, I might take a 15 minute drive down there and see what exactly is going on with my order. Overall I am not at all satisfied with Caplink's service to this point.
Edit: As of 9/21/06 11:00AM, I received an e-mail from CapLink stating this: "Per our shipping policy we maintain warehouse on both the east and west coasts. At the time of your order, product was only available on the west coast. Had we shipped it on Monday from that facility you would have received the product this coming Monday. Our logistics system had confirmed tracking from whistler for additional stock coming into our Rhode Island facility today, currently the dock appointment is scheduled for 2 pm. Because of your location to our RI facility, holding the shipment until today allows the product to be received by you tomorrow, a full 3 calendar days early. All orders are always processed in a manner allowing the quickest possible DELIVERY date which does not allow us to ship instantly for orders that originate from CA, or the Northeast region where ship times are 1-2 days."
Hopefully that will be the case, and I should receive my radar detector tomorrow. I am still not completely satisfied because I was not informed of the situation (until three days after my order was placed). CapLink should inform the customer of similar situations, as it states on their Order Page that orders will ship within 24 hours of being received, and so far it has been 72 hours and mine is still not shipped.
Edit 9/22/06: Well, it is now 11:00PM on 9/22/06 and my order should have arrived, as stated in the reply email i received, but it has not. On the bright side (I guess) it has was finally shipped today. Hopefully I will receive it soon and it will be in working order."
