"Purchased the Iriver 799. Excellent product at an excellect price. Caplink is a good company. I would purchase from again. However, keep in mind that you will have to be very patient when it comes to getting a tracking number. I did not get a tracking number 'til the day the item was delivered to my house. If you read more comments from other people, you will notice more of the same problems/issues with the tracking number, but that does not mean they are a bad company. It is just a website/systems issue which they should correct to become a better competitive company. It took 6 business days for the whole ordering process to the day it was delivered and that was pretty good. The live customer service was pretty convenient, but not very helpful due to system problems."

"They offered the best price on the handheld GPS device I ordered and the high ratings at this site were encouraging. The shipping was fast and everything was smooth. However, I am not satisfied. First, a minor complaint: the web page indicated that the shipping will be with UPS. Instead, they shipped with Fedex. But of course that's not important. Second, however, a major problem: apparently signature proof of delivery was not required, therefore Fedex left the package containing the $315 GPS device in front of my door in an apartment building where it was highly visible to everyone walking by. It was definitely not a safe location and the package could have gotten stolen very easily. It has not, but that is just luck. I don't think it is Fedex's fault because last week I ordered another GPS device, for only $90, from another retailer, they shipped with Fedex, too, but apparently signature proof was required and Fedex made two attempts to deliver the package and finally I went to the Fedex center to pick it up. This is the procedure I would have preferred with this $315 package, too. In the end, because of safety concerns regarding the delivery, I don't think I will order from Caplink Technology again. They should require signature proof on high-value shipments or otherwise ensure that packages are not left at unsafe locations.
