I called the main number before I ordered to see if it was stocked nearby, but they said this radiator was across the country. The service agent was super nice and helpful. "I bought a BMW brand belt tensioner that is warrantied by BMW for 3 years / 36 months. After 19 months of use, the belt tensioner failed. I called CarPartsDiscount.com to claim a warranty replacement for the part. They only honor a one year warranty even though the part is warrantied by BMW for 3 years. The manager said they do not buy parts from the manufacturer, which prevents them from claiming warranty replacements for parts when the manufacturer warranty is longer than the CarPartsDiscount warranty period of one year. I would presume that this is why the price is modestly lower than other distributors of genuine BMW parts. The marginal amount of money I saved is not worth forgoing the factory parts warranty.
There is also very limited detail about the terms of the warranty on the website - this is clearly an attempt to avoid disclosing this nuance to the consumer. I consider this a big problem for an auto parts distributor and will never purchase from this company again."
"I just wanted to say how happy I am with an order I placed and the service I received! I placed an order on a Wednesday right at 12:00pm PST. I selected expedited shipping as my car was not running right. Immediately after placing my order I called in and spoke to a representative. I believe his name is Michael. I asked if the order could be expedited and he said we were past the cutoff for the order to be pulled and shipped that day but that he would look in to it and do everything he could to have the order shipped that day. He was professional and empathetic. While he couldn’t guarantee that the order would ship, I believed that he would actually look in to it and see what he could do. The order did ship and I received it the next day. The part was exactly what I needed at a third of dealer pricing.

"Car Parts Discount provided me with some of the worst customer service I’ve ever received. I purchased Dorman up-pipes for my 7.3l Super Duty. Unfortunately, they leaked and I was able to pinpoint the problem when removing the engine some time after installing the up-pipes. I emailed the company asking if they would be under warranty and I was told they would send me replacements. I needed to get my truck fixed in a timely fashion so they instructed me to purchase a new set, then return the old set and the new purchase would be refunded. I received the new up-pipes and had them installed within a few days only to find they leaked as well. Sparing no time, I cut the new pipes, positioned them correctly and welded them back together which fixed the exhaust leak. When I said I was ready to return my old up-pipes, I was suddenly told they were outside of the warranty. They wouldn’t accept my the old up-pipes and told me I could return the new ones. However, they wouldn’t accept the new ones after learning they had been modified. Basically, the company completely lied and hung me out to dry. They told me they’d fix the problem then completely changed their tune taking another $230 from me.
Also, their website setup is horrible. No order information is sent in the confirmation email. You have to go to their website and login to your account. Due to the way their website constantly asks for vehicle information and refreshes, it’s very difficult to login.
I would highly suggest purchasing parts from another company. "

"Had the pleasure to be assisted by Jorge on a dicey return. Dicey, because their policy for electronics returns is quite clear so at best I hoped I would get a store credit which to be honest I would have been OK with, since it was my mistake to order an aftermarket part instead of OEM as recommended by the manufacturer to save a couple hundred $$.
I explained my situation and Jorge, who was very professional, he immediately tried to see how he could help me return the parts with minimal hassle, and once he found out I had all original packaging/parts in retail condition he said he would get back to me after raising my case to his manager.
Within 10 to 15 minutes he had contacted me with a return/refund authorization, they even payed for return postage. It goes to show, if you're honest and upfront and own your mistake people will bend over backwards to help. I rarely purchase parts online but my experience with Car Parts Discount was incredibly pleasant. I made a noob mistake and when I asked them to help me, they just did. "
