I expected a restocking fee. I explained my situation to a customer service representative named Henry. He waived the restocking fee in lieu of me covering the shipping costs. "After ordering the rack, it took several days and a call from me to find out they didn't have it in stock and they needed me to first send my old rack to them to be rebuilt. To be fair, I do have an uncommon manual steering rack, but 1 star for poor communications.

After my rack arrived at their location, it took more than week and a half to be rebuilt. 1 star for not prioritizing a waiting customer.

24 days after my order was first placed, I finally got my rack returned. My situation was probably not typical, but I think the process could have been better. Fortunately, they did a very good job rebuilding it. 5 stars for the end product.

One thing to watch for, new rubber boots where installed over the inner tie rods with clamps. I have no complaints except that when I had the alignment done, these boots were all twisted into knots. Make sure the guys who do the alignment watch for this and loosen the clamps first."
