"I ordered and paid for a bike from ChainReactionCycles and received an order confirmation. 10 days later expecting to receive the bike I instead get an email telling me that they have cancelled my order due to some nonsense story about how their website stock doesn't reflect their actual stock. Interestingly, during that time the price of the bike increased on their website. I emailed ChainReactionCycles and asked if they could just bill me again and send me a bike when they get one, even if that were to take a couple of months. Their response to that was to tell me that they don't do pre-orders. I had ordered one already and they had confirmed it and kept my money for 10 days. How would this be a pre-order? After several back and forth emails, they just spat in my face with the offer of a $15 voucher."
"I wish I've read the reviews about chainreactioncycles before I paid them.
A $400 parcel (MTB wheels) was bought and shipped almost 2 months ago. Never arrived. I opened multiple inquiries with CRC in email and on Facebook. Was always getting generic answers that they are checking. Once they even said they're escalating but after 3 weeks and in spite of my inquiries, they did not provide any information. In parallel I approached the courier multiple times until I learned the parcel was lost. From the courier's response I learned that they were not contacted by CRC. Now I have to claim the money from CRC. Given my experience thus far, and what I learned from other reviews, I'm afraid I lost $400.
The worst customer service I've ever seen. Will never buy from them again.
Update: I sent the response of the courier to CRC. CRC said they need to get a confirmation from the courier about lost item to initiate the refund, and that they will apply for it. I just replied by asking them to provide me the ticket number they open with the courier, so that I can get convinced they do it this time (they said 3 times in the past that they will inquire with the courier, but apparently they didn't). As ResellerRatings is seeking answer from CRC before publishing this review, I challenge CRC to show they are actually doing what they said they will, and share with me the ticket number. I bet they won't.
CRC makes the courier, which is the most hated service provider in my country, look responsive and cooperative. "
"Wanted to change an order (which was the wrong size) literally 15 minutes after placing it, but well no you can't do that where you can do in anywhere else in the world.
They charged me 50 CAD for a handlebar worth 85, and asked me to send it back by paying the same shipment cost. Does math make sense?
Also even though I keep paying duty-free costs in advance, I am charged a _second time_ by the delivery company.
All in all, worst online shopping experience ever."

"Defective goods received. No refund, would only give me vouchers. Placed an order which couldn't be delivered because the courier they use to deliver to my country isn't shipping to my country anymore! CRC claimed this was because my country had placed an embargo on goods from the UK. A complete and utter lie (my country is a UK territory!) Asked for a credit to my card as that is how I originally paid for the defective item and obviously I can't use the vouchers. Refused.
This outfit couldn't care less about its customers. And they lie, engage in other deceptive practices and do not act in compliance with the UK's consumer rights legislation. Also staggering incomptence."
"I had ordered a kinetic trainer for my mentally challenged son, for his birthday! My autistic son only accepts delivery/purchases (even foods) on certain days, so we only ordered product with next day delivery guarantee, and that is what we paid for! My mentally challenged son looked at e mails and the phones from 8 am till 6 pm, and by 6 pm, he told us: Chain Reaction Cycles, did not deliver on time as we paid for and they had promised, and neither did they call to let us know why, so he demands we cancel the kynetic cycle trainer cost £259,, When we called the company on their customer service helpline at 7 pm, agent Patrick told us, they will deliver the product in the next coming weeks,, !! I told him I want to cancel order, and explained nicely why! The agent kept lying and making false representations , and refused to cancel the order! Don't trust this company,, hiding behind some 'offshore' dubious 'customer service', and refuse to honor their written promises on site! "
"Placed an order, then realized it wouldn't get to me in time.
So tried to contact.
Unfortunately, they are so difficult to contact that "my order was shipped out before cancelling."
So all I did was refuse delivery.
Upon "refunding" they only partially refunded because they charged me $70 to ship back.
This WAS SUPPOSED TO BE CANCELED PRIOR TO SHIPPING!!
TLDR, I lost out on $70 because they couldn't cancel my order in time.
Stole $70 from me.

"Bought a Gt Gtr Comp that was sent to me really badly set up, they asked me to take it to a local companies for repair, they bike shops both said there was something weird going inside for the cabling, it took over a month for CRC to collect the bike, then 3 weeks to get the bike back, when it came back it was worse than before with damage to the frame, forks and they didn’t even send the pedals back. They offered me £50 cash back and a set of BMX pedals as compensation, I asked them to collect the bike and refund me, it was collected a week later then 5 days later it came back again, it’s taken nearly three months, about 40 emails ,10 Live chats And waiting in three days for a delivery too solve a problem for a bike that was sent to me faulty, which they had admitted. Not once have I had a proper apology, just a sorry for the late response from them which happened every single time, go elsewhere, I cannot stress that enough."
"I ordered some energy gels from this company approximately two weeks ago. They sent me a tub of protein powder in stead and have been unable to get them to send the correct item. I am being told they need to do stock investigations and they are unable to send me the item I ordered (though I can clearly see the item is in stock and available for purchase and delivery). My experience of their customer service has been very poor. I would advise caution if you are tempted to use this company."
"Delivery and product is ok before warranty case... Rusty steering bearing ring was broken after few months of delivery because Ghost Kato Kid 24" has not any grease inside it. Normally nobody need to open cycle vertical steering bearing and put grease... CRC refused to warranty and said it is my fault and service omission. Never again CRC or Ghost !!"

Being based in the UK and having the package delivered to the US they did an amazing job. A whopping 3 days. All long the way I received all the updates you could ask for as a customer.
