"I ordered a Thule 598 bike carrier to be sent to my address in California. What I recieved was a large box of “johns incredible pizza” baseball caps and three xs shirts. I immediately filed a claim thru PayPal to get a refund. "
"CRC stupid workers gave me wrong goods i bought, but return policy states no refund on return shipping. How can u accept this stupid mistakes caused.by CRC n customers have to pay for return shipping? I m only asking them to give the right goods to me. NONSENSE"
"Ordered several weeks ago. only received half my order. Filed a ticket. took over a week to get a response that my item had shipped( no tracking # provided and to expect it shortly). That was over a week ago and I still haven't received the item. Emailed again and no response in 3 days.
customer service - 0"
"Order still in processing after should have been delivered week ago , no reply from emails , used chat when available which is hardly ever - they had to contact warehouse and get back , no surprise never got back to me - terrible customer service . Would not use them again and not recommended as would have bought item from 100 different places if known ,,"
"Non dispatched Items - No satisfaction from CRC
Recently ordered 3 items from CRC. One item arrived as part delivery. The remainder did not arrive despite my having received dispatch notification email with a tracking number included.
I checked the tracking number with the delivery company but they had NO MATCHING NUMBER.
Trying to contact CRC was difficult as their chat system seems to be usually in UNAVAILABLE status, and on those rare occasions when it is AVAILABLE it is usually BUSY and when I was finally able to get access it took quite a while to progress in the queue.
I did eventually get through and the CRC operator told me to fill out a 'lost in the post form'. which he emailed to me. The form was in a proprietary format so I was unable to open it. Next day he sent the form as an email and I duly completed it. I did not receive any prompt response and when I emailed a status enquiry next day the same operator told the form was not filled in correctly as I had not signed it. I should mention here that I am only temporarily at this address and have no access to to printer or scanner. I explained this to the CRC operator, and also sent him the original dispatch email I had received from CRC with the item tracking number, and also a link to the delivery company's tracking facility where CRC could verify that they had not in fact really dispatched the item at all. No response from CRC.
The whole episode has been very frustrating and aggravating for me.
Thankfully the items in question were not of great financial value. I have learned that
1. CRC's dispatch processes are problematic (items not sent)
2. CRC does not seem to understand it's own dispatch process (unable to verify dispatch locally with tracking number).
3. CRC has zero interest in resolving the problems that it causes (customer obliged to do all the investigation and declare they are not a thief)
4. CRC is very comfortable in alienating customers ( unhelpful ad slow-or-non-responding staff)
I won't be using or recommending CRC again."
"So here it goes.
I was shopping with CRC for many years, and they were quite reliable and honest, to my opinion. However, just one week ago I decided to order a bike for my kid. Nothing special, 250 USD. After 4 days I received an email. `Your order has been cancelled, maybe because the bike is not in stock.` So I ordered another one, and the same email.
No explanations, nothing. Zilch.
So I emailed customer service, and received an email from an employee, called Marta C. Customer Service Advisor, who quite rudely implied that I am possibly a scammer and from now on I can only use a bank transfer as payment method or I can also get the freak off and shop elsewhere.
And all this after over 6+ years of purchases, and endless number of people in various countries, to whom I recommended shopping with CRC.
Well, I called them, and called them again and they implied all kind of problems, on my side, none of which were the case in the end. All in all I spent 1 hour dealing with this nonsense.
At the end, it was their new security system that blocked people like me from making purchases.
So yeah, you decide, if you want to deal with these kind of unprofessional people. And these kind of Customer Service Advisors who tells you to go away and shop elsewhere, without giving you any benefit of the doubt.
I will definitely follow her advice. And will definitely tell others. Thanks"
"Sometimes certain vintage parts can be difficult to obtain. I ordered some dust and oils seals for suspension and they did indeed have them, shipped them quickly and communicated very well. The parts arrived in a timely fashion and I have no complaints. "
"Bought a front air fork upgrade for my bike on a Sunday. I paid EXTRA to have it shipped to me within the same week so I could put it on my bike for a weekend trip. Their policy and website says any item ordered with priority shipping paid will arrive within the week, arriving by Wednesday if ordered on sunday. OK I thought. 1st they failed "dispatch" my order on the date they said they would, already annoyed.. but it was only one day. A day later it gets dispatched, but the tracking number was worthless for 2 days...by which time it shouldve already been at my doorstep as they advertised. Couldnt track my package, come to find out their lazy **** didnt ship my stuff out. My tracking code wasnt working until i had them update it thr day it was supposed to arrive. Finally had them ship it out and im still waiting for it to arrive a week later. Why even charge me for priority shipping when there's nothing priority about it. These guys claim they're busy, but that's no excuse when CRC was paid to send it out in the time frame advertised.. and then CRC failed to do so. I think theyre a bunch of lazy **** in the UK. will never order from them again. They don't live up to what they say.. plain bad business practices."
"Waited 10 days after ordering to check when delivery would be, told another week because of the high volume of custom builds taking priority. Not nice to be made to feel like a second class customer but agreed only to be told 2 days later it wasn't in stock!! Unbelievable. Obviously the lack of communication is internally as well as with customers. Do not order from here unless
You're prepared to wait a month for delivery! "
"I made a purchase from Chain Reaction Cycles, that had a discount for purchasing a certain amount. Upon completion of payment I noticed it was not included I immediately emailed them and the following day was contacted that they would refund the difference back to me. No fuss, just took care of me. I didn't realize that they were clear across the Atlantic Ocean, I get the order in 3 days, wonderful. I ordered at the same time from a local well known bike company it took 4 days and my experience with them was terrible, never again will I order from them again. It is a company that advertises Low Price and Satisfaction guarantees and $ back for purchase over a certain amount, what they hide are the exclusions which are many making much of their guarantees worthless and meaningless. This companies name begins with P and what a judge scores an athlete on."
"Absolute garbage.
I purchase a lot of cycling products from different places and I don't write reviews, but I really felt the need to warn others from being taken advantage of by writing this review.
If you are chatting with them, keep in mind they are going to give you random wrong information. They have no idea what they are doing or talking about.
If you are sending email, keep in mind you are most likely not getting a reply.
I ordered twice and each time something was missing from the order. The cases were resolved two weeks after the initial order and the missing parts were delivered three weeks after the initial order.
expected delivery was 4-6 days, I got my complete order 25 days later!!!!!! It was not "delivered within the standard delivery time frame". Some parts arrived after a week other parts after almost four.
Just know that there are other companies with better prices, selections and costumer service.
I would not shop here again even if they pay me to."
"Purchased a faulty $275 3T Stem and a part of the thread broke tightening it with a torque wrench well under torque requirements and they just accuse me of overtightening and won't help. Not buying from them again. My lesson is shop more locally as what can you do when a shop is the other side of the world."
"BEWARE. I returned a package to CRC by post.nl. Although it was delivered and signed for, CRC claims they did not receive it and refuse to refund. Second problem concerning the same order: one of the items was missing. Again CRC claims they did pack it. Don't believe anything of what they say anymore. Client support is non-existing at CRC, once they have your money, they're gone."
"I ordered a $2500+ bike from Chain Reaction. I paid just under $600 for pre-paid duties, taxes and clearance via DHL Express. This was a complete waste of money; the bike has been stuck at customs for just under 2 weeks because Chain Reaction did not provide the necessary documentation for customs processing and have refused to do so. They are blaming customs but the rules are very explicit; the shipper has to provide complete documentation (in this case power of attorney) and they did not.
I took a day off work and waited for the bike on the day it was scheduled to be delivered; I have also called DHL to find out what is happening and have also been in contact with Chain Reaction, yet my bike is still sitting at customs, with no delivery date in sight.
If you are tempted to buy anything other than low risk, cheaper items from Chain Reaction: DONT; they do not take responsibility or action if something goes wrong; they do apologize politely but DO NOT help.
Do yourself a favour and go somewhere else; their customer service is seriously lacking and you could be out of a lot of money (over $3200 in my case)."
"Ordered something 2 months ago. Package was lost and no reimbursement."
