Absolute Worst Customer Service

"Can I leave ZERO stars? Absolute WORST customer service. Needed tires for a trip - ordered with more than plenty of time (15 days), their shipping says 3-10 days. I am two states away - after over 10 days of the package being "lost", and multiple calls, their manager refused to help facilitate a faster shipping (unless I paid AGAIN for the tires and shipping), or to refund my money until UPS finished their investigation. I will NEVER order from this company again, and I will be sure to spread the word far and wide about their service. Thanks for nothing."

Horrible service, incompetent employees

"My wife took my wheel for my Harley in to drop off for a tire replacement, she was first stopped at the front door and told she could not bring her service dog inside. When did chaparral start cooking and serving food?? After returning the dog to the car she went back inside. A 5 foot tall 110 pound female could not get help with a 19 inch wheel and tire and the door dinosaur had nothing but smart remarks to make. Sooo....she finally gets the wheel to the tire dept. where they tell her that they don't let you do that there, 1 person drops wheel off and a different person picks it up and pays for it. Wow, what kind of shop is this. They finally agree to do it and then they ask my wife if the tire has a tube in it. She replies" I don't know, isn't that your job, you do work in the tire dept right?". They finally figure it out miraculously. That's not all yet! I get off work and go to pick my wheel up, I give the little service guy my order number and he fumbles around a little bit, so I tell him it's a black harley wheel with a 19 inch tire, I specifically said a 19 inch tire. He finds it and brings me my wheel. Then he says your good to go, you already paid didn't you! I should have been out of there, but I'm not a ****. I tell him that I haven't paid yet and we go all the way down to the other end of the counter. Here's where it gets fun. The kid looks up the order number again and says that will be 250 something doll hairs. I hit the **** roof. I couldn't help but raise my voice as I explain to this kid that I was quoted a different price, 125 for my tire, 30 for mount and balance, then a tube and disposal. So we start going over the invoice. He tells me I have a 150 tire and a 140 tube, not sure how those two will work together at all especially on my wheel. My tire is 100/90/19. This is where I discover that they have two customers on the same repair ticket number. I almost paid for someone else to get a big discount. I will never spend another dime at chaparral or take my bike to them. I don't care if I have to go all the way across Ca. to get what I need, **** chaparral!!!!!!!!"

"TAKE YOUR BUSINESS ELSEWHERE.

Horrific Business Practices. I purchased a battery from through an affiliate account these guys have with Wal-Mart In February of 2019. What was delivered was a battery that was built and last charged in January of 2018. Meaning this battery is over one year old. batteries only last a few years so that means this thing has lost at least 30% of it's life before I made the purchase.

When I buy tires for my car I expect tires that are manufactured in the last couple of months. When I buy groceries I don't anticipate them to be on the verge of expiration.

I reached out to the company via email to politely ask for an exchange for one that is, in fact, a new battery. They are demanding I pay for shipping, a restocking fee and a 7.99 return fee.

So I called the store directly in hopes that someone more polite would be available. I was transferred to the parts manager Jennifer. When I began to explain that the battery was aged she started to talk over me insisting that it is new. I could see she was uninterested in taking any steps to help me so I asked to speak with someone above her, such as a general manager. She insisted I am only to deal with her after she claimed to be the ULTIMATE MANAGER! haha I've never heard of this job title but even with such authority she told me there's nothing she can do at all to replace this battery with a new one. I continued to ask for a GM or someone else but she refused to help me and continued to repeat that this is a new battery completely disregarding that I provided pictures proving otherwise.

Shady online practices and completely incompetent "Manager"

"Ordered tires on October 10, changed my mind and called them 15 minutes after online order placed to cancel (found cheaper). I was assured by their phone rep the order was cancelled. Received a shipping confirmation the next day. I called back to ask why and was told it ships "Immediately" after the order. BS! Then I was told I received misinformation because they were hiring a bunch of new people and they made a mistake. THIS IS NOT THE CUSTOMERS FAULT. Fine. I asked for shipping labels to ship them back and was put on hold to ask the "manager". Came back and told me I'd have to pay for return shipping...no way. Asked for the manager he just spoke with and was told she was busy (doubtful). Left a vm for manager and she never called me back. I called her back and she was rude and finally agreed to email me labels, even going so far as to verify my email address. Never received labels. (Great customer service manager). Filed a BBB complaint because I feel like they were trying to get me to keep the order by holding me hostage for return shipping. The "manager" had the nerve to say she could not locate a call from me on the day I called to cancel.....right. I offered to present the Verizon record to prove I called in exchange for a refund and I keep the order. This company and manager are a complete joke in my opinion. They will run themselves into the ground treating customers this way. Manager will find herself unemployed because she does not care about her job or the company she works for."

Wrong size ATV tires

"Ordered a set of atv tires 24 x 11x 9 for A Yamaha Terrapro on vacation. Received A 10” tire and was told I would have to pay for return shipping $15.00 a tire. Ordered again with same results only this time they sent 11” tires just won’t fit my 9” rims! This Will be the last time use this company, no customer service or loyalty and to much run around. P.S first order was thru Walmart which also passes the buck :( BEWARE!"

Really Late on Shipping and They Don't Care

"While they have lots of parts, beware the shipping games. I ordered a bunch of parts and they told me I would get all my parts by Friday. Friday comes and I get 2 of the 7 parts. Website won't let me check status so call and get a confused guy who focuses on one tire forgetting there are 5 missing parts. He gets a manager and the answer is parts will arrive next week, in 5 days, a day after I leave on a bike trip. Whole reason I ordered from them was they could get parts to me early enough. Guess they said what they though they needed to get a sale. No more orders from me."

Never buying from Chaparral again!

"Very Very unhappy with Chaparral. This company is not what they used to be. Placed 6 orders with them over the past month and 4 out of 6 never showed up as scheduled. The last one being the worst of them. I ordered two helmets, both ended up being too small. I placed a new order on Saturday, one helmet was in stock, one was not in stock but the lady told me they will both be there by Friday the following week. Wednesday comes, still no shipping info. The helmet in stock was supposed to ship separately two day for free. Called Wednesday, helmet in stock did not ship and the second helmet still was not even in stock. The lady said, no problem I will just have them both ship from the Vendor and they will be there Friday. I called them back Thursday because guess what, still no shipping info or tracking number. They were able to confirm that one helmet will not make it there until Monday and the other will be there on time for Friday. Tracking number finally gets sent over to me and the helmet that was in stock now says it will be there Saturday. I stayed home all day Saturday waiting (incase i had to sign) and get notified at 7:30pm that the order will not arrive until Monday. Now all of the local stores are closed for the day. I couldn't cancel my riding trip planned for Sunday because it was now 7:30pm, they were closed and it was non-refundable if you cancelled the day of. So i had to go spend another $200 for a helmet that I don't even want, just for me to go riding that day. Not to mention my 4hr rental was cut to 3hrs since i had to wait until 9am for local store to open and buy a helmet. To give you an idea of my frustration the UTV rental costed $400 for 4hrs. ouch! and i only got 3hrs... So i lost an hour of riding and paid $200 extra for a helmet I didn't want. Called Chaparral to tell them the story, and the manager said, 'we cant help you out with anything except send you a return label.' That's it? I spent over $2000 with you over the last month and that's what i get??? No gift card, account credit, free candle, nothing at all? Great customer service!!! Clearly customer retention is not their goal. GO TO ROCKY MOUNTAIN ATV, they have the best customer service and they always hold true to their word. If they don't, they will make it right and keep you happy. Chaparral needs to take notes! Never buying from you again. I feel disgusted about giving you my $2,000 now."

OLD NEW TIRES

"Chaparral sells OLD NEW TIRES. Old new tires are dangerous. I was sent a three year old tire. They lost a customer over a return shipping label. Customer service does a great job for the bean counters. Consider replacement after five years per manufacture, Chaparral knows this. I will probably not wear this tire out in two years."

"Only reason they are getting 1 star is because it won't let me give them 0

I wanted a specific helmet with a quick release chin strap. I searched and finally found one with this feature on Chaparral's website (it was in the description and the picture). I ordered it. After a couple days, they called me to make sure it was ok to charge me $30 extra to ship to Hawaii. I was fine with the charge because I had been searching for this helmet. Upon getting the helmet, it did not have the quick release chin strap. I was very angry. I emailed them and they basically said that the description did not say that it had this feature. I sent them the link and a screenshot to the page on their website. They finally admitted that it was wrong on the website and that the picture was from a previous year. They offered me a $30 credit to keep the helmet but after dealing with them, I do not want it anymore. I am returning the helmet and will be out $60 because of shipping both ways. I will never buy from this place again.

After trying to print off a shipping return label from their website, I received an error. I called customer service and the guy was very nice and said that he would refer it to the returns department and that they would email me the shipping label. I got any email saying that they could not do a shipping label because it was from Hawaii and offered to send me some junk quick release strap that looked incredibly uncomfortable. I declined and stated that I wanted to return it. I called customer service again after a couple hours with no response. They said that they would not pay for the shipping because nothing was physically damaged on the helmet. I disputed the charge with my credit card company and am awaiting a result on that. I told them this and they said that I could return the helmet but they would not pay the shipping. I would have been fine with this a week and a half ago before they made me so mad.

"Chaparral is a great company to order from. I placed a rather large order for all my moto cross gear. Helmet, boots, goggles, and lots of other items. Shipping was right away for the majority of the items and were received within 2 business days. Every item was just as described on the website. Customer service was great and helpful when I called. "

"Don't do business with, or waste your money with Chapparel!!! Unless, of course, you want to receive 4 year old tires for your bike while paying for new. Or you enjoy horrible customer service that tells you lies and then calls YOU a liar. I don't even know why they have a customer service department, because they flat out refuse to do anything except say they're sorry you disagree with them (that was Jennifer - the customer service "manager"). In over 30 years of riding I've never gotten a tire that was significantly older than the old worn out one I was replacing. They will rationalize it by saying the manufacturer says a tire has a shelf life of 5 (or 7 depending on who you talk to) years. Would you put a 7 year old tire on your bike? If you care about safety, performance, and tire life get your tires somewhere else! "
