Summary: Bought a laptop, didn't work right, returned it, still haven't gotten my refund after two weeks.

Story:
I ordered a refurbished Acer Aspire 1830 from Cheetahdeals. It was very cheap, and it arrived quickly, but those are the only good things I can say. When it arrived, a sticker on the bottom looked like it had been damaged by heat, and the laptop had the wrong touchpad driver installed, not out of date, but for a different touchpad. After a fixed that, the touchpad still didn't work.

Initially, I wanted a replacement, so I sent the laptop back. week after it arrived back at Cheetahdeals, it was still listed as "Authorized for replacement." When I emailed to ask what was going on, I was informed that they were out of stock of that model and I was being upgraded. I asked "What am I being upgraded to?" and they never replied.

Finally, after another week with no response or shipping confirmation, I called. They told me that they were just going to refund my money instead. I have no idea what they were waiting for. I was told that the money would be credited to my account in 48 hrs.

Fast forward to now, 5 days later, and I still don't have my refund. I called just now and they told my my refund was sent out on February 2, which is obviously not true. They are now checking on that, so I hope to have my money in time to help pay for my funeral expenses.

All along the way, I dealt with unreturned emails, voicemails etc. I wanted to like CheetahDeals, but I am extremely disappointed with their lack of customer service and professionalism.

Cheetah Deals contacted me, apologized for all that happened and gave me a $30 gift certificate. I also got my refund, which makes my total experience slightly better, but it doesn't erase the hassle I had to deal with to get it. "
