"Added the extended warranty promo to my HP refurb laptop order. Found out the next day that extended warranties DO NOT APPLY for any HP product (a fact which was not on the product description page, and their checkout app did not flag it as an error). I canceled the order. Cheetah Deals promptly canceled the transaction and refunded the funds to PayPal. But because the bank's side of the transaction is being processed, I now have to wait until that completes before I can withdraw the funds from my PayPal account. In other words, my funds are tied up for 3-5 business days (was originally told by PayPal that it's a 1-3-day wait, but when I checked back on the 3rd business day, PayPal Accounting corrected that info. Apparently PayPal goes through a holding company, which is where my funds might be currently held up.). While Cheetah Deals promptly processed the refund, all this could've been prevented by full disclosure in the Warranty section of the product. It currently states 90-day warranty. All they need to have added was "DOES NOT QUALIFY FOR AN EXTENDED WARRANTY.""

"This is my third order with Cheetah deals over the course of a year and a half. Always roughly a 33% to 40% discount for "refurbished" over new product (but you would be hard pressed to notice the difference in appearance). The primary difference is the warranty. If that concerns you then buy the low cost extended warranty.

They don't stock the most current generation of equipment, but I never buy the most current hardware because it is so overpriced versus actual performance. After all, it is "refurbished" or ... in my opinion actually "excess stock" from production.

In any event, the price is right, the quality is excellent, and the support (I have never needed it) seems good.

"**EDIT2 LCD monitor broke after a little over a month of usage. I was extremely careful with the laptop. Now I have to spend extra money for a new lcd monitor to replace it.
**EDIT Make sure to clean the laptop first, I put the laptop on my bed and now I think I have bed bugs!

I ordered from cheetahdeals because they have the best deals(I looked everywhere). The laptop was ordered sunday night and it arrived friday. I was surprised that the shipping was so fast because I used free shipping. The laptop I received is in very good condition, almost new. However, the area around the touchpad buttons makes a creaking noise whenever I put pressure on it or when i left or right click. The area around the laptop screen also has marks which are very unnoticeable. Cheetahdeals deserves 5 stars because of their shipping,customer service(I emailed them about questions and got a quick reply the same day), and product. I gave them 4 stars because of the creaking noise around the touchpad click area. I may try to get an exchange and hope for a better laptop(which i doubt). If I do get a better replacement, I will gladly change my rating to 5 stars.

"At this point I have mixed feelings about my purchase from Cheetahdeals. I found them via a Google search for Acer netbooks. Their prices are at least $50 cheaper than anyone else out there. I pretty much purchased on price alone. The web site is good, but the closeout section was missing vital technical details about the netbook I was interested in. I had to call to get the information. The gentleman I spoke to was very knowledgeable and friendly. I place my order after speaking to him. However, when I checked back a few days later when I had not heard about the order except for the confirmation email, I was told that the order had been cancelled because the phone number associated with my credit card could not be verified. A simple email to me would have solved that. When asked if they could reinstate the order, I received a terse email reply stating that I had to start over. When I emailed them back to let them know that I felt like this was not good customer service, I heard nothing back at all.
After a few days of pondering, I decided to place the order again and did so. My only complaint about the second order is that I did not receive any shipping information which seems to be standard practice for even small online retailers.
The reviews here are all pretty good, which makes me feel a bit better about ordering from Cheetahdeals, but to be honest, I ultimately purchased on price alone and feel like I'm taking a bit of a risk by doing so."
