"Ordered an all-in-one-touch-screen Gateway desktop from Cheetah Deals - you guys need a serious name to inspire confidence. Anyway, I was skeptical to order from them having only 6 reviews on resellerrating but I took the chance paying thru Paypal. If anything went wrong I would have let Paypal to deal with them. Today I received the system and all I can say is wow!
This refurbished desktop sold almost everywhere for $560. I got it from cheetahdeals for $399 plus tax. Shipped fast and well packed. Plugged in the desktop, installed the new software and everything runs like it should. Next time I need a desktop or a laptop I will check them first.
Save a ton on refurbished over a new one if you don't mind a few scuffs here and there.

One negative, I live in the Syracuse area but could not pick it up in person - had to pay for shipping it about 14 miles. The machine is perfect - looks like it has never been used and as new as anything I could buy in a store or as new on line. Pricing was very good. I have had the computer one week and all is well."

Shipping was a little slow, but that was because of the holidays (2 in a row + 2 sundays = 4 days extra waiting) otherwise the shipping was VERY fast.

Edit: Duh, forgot to post info about the computers we bought...

The computers were labeled "Scratch and Dent" or "C quality" I believe they call it. What was wrong with them? My wife's had a couple pieces of tape, and a top piece that was just to "hide" a very unimportant area was missing. Mine, I didn't see any problems.

Our computers were EXTREMELY low priced for the quality (760 for basically a 1200 dollar computer) and I just want everyone to know, the customer live chat guy (I think his name is Rich?) needs a friggin promotion, I asked him at least 50 different questions on and off over the past 2 months or so, and he answered every one perfectly. Also, he gave me the direct number to the manager, which is also posted on their site, so you can talk to a manager directly, and he was extremely nice as well, (Brian was his name)

There was even an error on the site that said an incorrect stat and I asked him if the stat was correct, he apologized, and it was fixed the next time I looked at it, which was the next day.

Again, I couldn't ask for better service, the only MINOR problem I had was the shipping and it was ONLY because of the horrible timing I decided to order my computer, so it was my fault."

"Ordered a refurbished gateway AMD Phenom X6, was hesitant but the price was so amazing. I waited anxiously and expected there to be some major probs since it was marked as scratch and dent. When I got it, it looked brand new. Plugged it all in and was up and running right away. HD graphics look great. Tons of storage. Runs all games with no lag. This was the best deal ever! "Order Gateway "all in one" computer with touch screen, mode ZX4300. Price was good, shipping/delivery was fast. I purchased for the touch screen capabilities.
However, once computer was set up and I tried to use the touch screen features, it did not work. I checked the touch screen set up in Windows 7 to ensure the settings were set to "enable" touch screen. All settings were correct.
obviously something was wrong with the computer's screen that did not recognize the touch features on Windows 7. I called Revonate Tech Support and was immediately emailed a RMA # for return/replacement.
Even though this was a refurbished model the touch features on this computer should have been more thoroughly tested. "

"Item was delivered in a reasonable amount of time. It was listed as refurbished, so it wasn't entirely surprising to see that it was not in the original packaging and that there were little smudges and scratches on the casing.

One thing I would say is that more care could have been taken in packaging my purchase for shipment. That being said, it seems to work great, and their price was significantly lower than any of the competition, so all in all, it was a great buy!

One last little criticism would be that they didn't communicate with me very much. I got one e-mail a day after the purchase was made to let me know what the item had shipped, and then another e-mail after it delivered asking me for the review. An automated e-mail immediately following payment would have been nice to know that the payment had been received, and the package was being prepared for shipment.

All in all, no major complaints, and I feel like I got a good deal at the end of the day."
