"Not good. The site accepted my order, then I got an email saying one of the items was not available. When I finally talked to someone at Chef's Resource, it turned out that all three items that the site indicted were in stock were not available. I rechecked the site and, sure enough, all three items were still marked as "In Stock." I was further told that they just submitted a resupply order for the knives I wanted to purchase and that they would not be available until 2012 sometime."

I order and item AB0800 Clear Acrylic Knife Block – KA (order number 285692) and there was a message sent on 10/1811 saying that the item is on backorder and will available on or about 10/28/2011. It is now 11/4/2011 and I have sent 2 E-mails to Lee Jarrard for status and he has yet to respond. Poor Customer Service and no Customer Care."

It was truly wonderful to be able to scroll through the merchandise I was looking for at Chef"s Resource, click on the items I wanted, save to my cart then check out by just providing my shipping and billing addresses and mode of payment. That's it! Nothing else was required. No password, favorite restaurant, mother's maiden name, or any other types of jumping through hoops. My merchandise arrived within a week with no problems. Other companies should take lessons. "

"Buyers Beware. After reading nothing but good reviews, I was a bit surprised to be treated so poorly. They indicate on their website that, “We stock all Shun kitchen cutlery and ship same/next business day.” This is a load of B.S. after ordering my knives, a few days had gone by and I still never received any conformation. I called and was indicated that they were on back-order. Nowhere on their website does it indicate this. I have seen websites half as legit as Chef’s Resource showing more information on product statuses. I ordered the knives on Tue Sep 6, and they told me they would be back-ordered till Fri Sep 16. It would then take another 4-5days to ship to location. Needless to say the knives never came on said date. This is completely unacceptable. I finally received my knives today Wed Nov 2… ALMOST 2 MONTHS LATER!!!! I asked if there was anything they could do for me putting me at this in convenience and they sternly stated NO! You would think at the very least they would upgrade my shipping for free to save face, but the answer is NO once again. WILL NOT BE RETURNING! VERY DISPLEASED! "
