"Same deal as some of the others. I ordered Garmin Nuvi 760. Got a great price. Then an email to confirm some CC info. This was a bogus reason and they just wanted me to add the Map upgrade. The price for that was over $200.
I said no thanks. I knew Garmin will update it for free within the first few days (30 or 60, I can't remember exactly) of activation. The guy said the maps were "old". I didn't want to bother with the sales BS, so I just told him I had no more $$$.
So then I checked my order and it's suddenly backordered. then I go to the site and it says it available! I canceled my order. They do have my CC info, but haven't charged it.
They were hard to reach. The guy acted like I was stupid (or maybe poor) when I said I didn't want it. I'd like to take a road trip to the NY area...
Anyway, for those still looking, I found the 760 for 218 at walmart.com online only. As much as I hate to shop there, it's the cheapest I've found. Most sites are close in price. "

I was called to confirm the order and talked into buying updated maps. When I recieved the unit it did not work so I called to have it replaced - many calls later and being treated VERY RUDE, I finally got a replacement unit. It took A LOT of patience and time. " I still have not gotten my camera. I purchased a Canon XSI plus pais for 2-3 day shipping and entered my CC info and paid, then I receiver an email that said to call 1-***-***-**** to confirm my order, I have called the number repediatly for three days and get a buisy signal every time. I have sent numerous emails to their sals and customer svc. depts and they have not responded.
I am in the process of filing a complaint with the BBC and I urge anyone else who has dealt with Closeout Genius to do the same, lets all file complaints and mabye they will havve to shut down and they should.
Bottom line is, Closeout Genius is not an honest buisness and they have very deceptive sales tactics. I would warn anyone considering purchasing from Closeout Genius to reconsider and find another seller because you will have nothing but problems and lies from this comppany."

"After considering different types of HD video cameras and reading professional and regular consumer reviews and watching videos, I was comfortable choosing the Canon Vixia HV30 but not so smart in choosing a seller. So after falling prey to one of those buy-low-but-not-really camcorder sellers (Close***Genius [to be billed as Wholesale Gen***]) with the same M.O. as OnTime******* [google Thoughts Dave digital] (email to call and confirm order, up sell for lens and batteries, back order, is/not in stock, hung up on me, based in "Vegas" but have Brooklyn accent, etc.) ...I found this site where I could read reviews on ecompanies and also dozens of complaints on this type of above-mentioned operation.
