"SAVE YOUR TIME - DO NOT ORDER FROM CLOVE TECHNOLOGY.

See a good price on Clove Technology? Save yourself the time and hassle of ordering. You see a good price, you buy. You’ll then receive an email the next day, after already processing your payment, informing you it was a ‘misprice’ and your order has been cancelled. Okay fine companies make mistakes, however the difference between what I paid and the new price is only 20%, a company who care about customer service would honour this. Not only that, but the original price has been on the website for multiple weeks, with the MD confirming they allowed others to receive the product at this price, but now they will not honour it.

Shocking customer service, with a senior manager at Clove admitting that my order should not have been cancelled, and did not understand the reasoning why.

Only order from Clove if you want your order cancelled, and want to experience subpar customer service.

Oh I should add, I was just sent a paltry email saying it was cancelled, and despite calling up was not offered a call back, or any other resolution.

Edit - After looking at other reviews on trustpilot, it appears that this has been done to other people in the past with other products. "Misprice".

Poor business practices

"purchased a BB Key2 from their website next day delivery, it turns out the device was not in stock and when I rang several times and mailed I was told they couldn’t check my order as their finance manager was on holiday? Then I was told they had supply issues and didn’t know when it would arrive. I asked for a refund and they said when the supplier (not clove technology) cancel the order I would receive a refund. I bought through clove not their supplier, their stock issue isn’t my concern, and to advertise an item that was next day delivery but wasn’t available is very misleading.

They promise to return your call or mails then don’t, they leave you hanging which is shameful, very poor customer service indeed and it seems it’s difficult to get a refund when they have clearly misled you and gave you the runaround.

Shopping experience at Clove

"I've got great shopping experience at Clove Technology.
Some highlights: fast shipping, variety of some products which almost available at Clove only, delivery options from Royal to DHL (at your discretion), various payment options are attractive as well, one of the most important things for every customer is responsive and helpful customer support, which is essential if something went wrong with order. I bought a product which satisfied my expectations, I definitely recommend Clove to every one.

Beware of thieves

"Purchased a case for phone for 33.33£

paid 22£ for fast international shipping...

The item arrived DEFECTIVE - the aperture in the case, for the front camera, is misplaced (several millimeters to the left) and the front camera is obscured by the case and is therefore unusable.

was told by rep I had to ship it back at my own expense (another 20£ or so) to MAYBE receive a PARTIAL refund -they would not refund my original shipping costs nor the return shipping costs

bottom line - my two options are being down 55£ and throw the case in the garbage, our drag myself to the post office,wait for a month and then be down "only" about 40£.
these are the worst kind of thieves -beware!!!

AWFUL COMPANY

"I bought an Iphone 7 as a Birthday gift for my husband. They accepted my order and took my money even though they didn't have the product. After a week with no email from them telling me when I would get the phone I rang them to be told they didn't have it in stock and there was a problem getting it. I gave them my phone number they never rang they don't answer emails. I have looked for a refund and reading other reviews here I'm very concerned as to when I will get my money back. I don't know how they stay in business treating customers like this"

Clear and Reliable

"I have no idea what all the negative reviews are about on this page. I wanted to buy the Huawei P20 Pro but it's not for sale in the US. I went on Reddit to research importing one and someone mentioned Clove. I found the P20 on their website but wasn't sure how much it would cost because everything is British on the page. Emailed in and got a pretty quick response from Josh who gave me a price conversion to US dollars and even told me to make sure it would work with my carrier before buying! Most places would just want to take your money! Anyway I made the order online and it shipped out a few days later on the day advertised and got to me 1 day later. Can't get much better than that"

Good initial purchase, terrible after sales support.

"Fine for initial purchase, but a bunch of crooks when it comes to after sales support. My fault was reported within a week of purchase, but they deployed delay tactics to acknowledge the return beyond 30 days and then refused to do anything about the fault.

Avoid and stick to Amazon.

"Ordered a LG G3 47 days ago, still have not received it.
After 25 working days they said they would ship a replacement phone. Some days passed and i asked them about the replacement phone shipment details. they said they hadnt shipped it yet because they were out of stock, i had to wait for LG to send a restock. but on their website it appears as " On Stock".
So, it`s now been 2 weeks since they said they`d ship a replacement and nothing because they say they still dont have it on stock.
All the while the price on the phone on their website has dropped 70 pounds while im waiting for mine.

"Bought an Xperia Active, which Clove bundled with the Liveview (for £5 more than buying the two separately, but they were the only UK distributor and I wanted the security of a local reseller vs. buying off ebay). After a couple of days playing around with the Liveview the retention clip breaks. On my first call the Clove rep pushes me off to Sony UK, where I get the run-around for 1/2 hour before being told (unsurprisingly) that I need to warranty any parts through Clove. So I called Clove again. Instead of bitching about the process from there I'll let you read the email trail for yourself:

We have inquired with Sony Ericsson and our suppliers of the Sony Ericsson Xperia Active. From our conversations with them a broken clip would be classed as user damage. Due to this we are unable to offer a replacement clip.

I had owned this device for less than 2 weeks. I clipped and unclipped the liveview from its housing maybe 5 times in this period. The plastic that has broken is one of the retention clips that is designed to flex out of the way when the device is clipped in. Clearly either the plastic used is too brittle or it was poorly designed in the first place but this is definitely not "user damage".

The product failed at what it is supposed to do and not honouring the warranty is not an acceptable response. You have sold me a defective product and I expect you to stand behind that product when it fails.

We have sold numerous Sony Ericsson Live units either separately or with the Sony Ericsson Xperia Active. This is the first occasion that we have encountered any problems with the clip of the unit so it is unlikely that it has been poorly designed. As you mentioned in the previous email we have contacted our supplier and Sony Ericsson regarding this matter and neither have encountered any previous problems with the clips. As a result we are unable to supply a replacement clip for the Sony Ericsson LiveView.

Quite frankly this whole exchange with you is astounding. You are refusing to warranty a broken part you have never even seen, based on your experience that nobody else has had a broken one yet. Might I suggest you take a moment to read this forum, or the following review? I am not the first person to have their clips break in the first few uses of the device.

Instead of making me play detective and prove to you that other people are having this problem too why don’t you just do the right thing and issue an RA to warranty my part? It’ll cost you a couple of quid. Much less than if I have to drag you through a complaints process.

"HORRIBLE!
I ordered the Samsung Galaxy Nexus on their site. My credit card was billed and I waited eagerly for the shipment to arrive.
9 days after I was billed I get an email that they have a problem billing my credit card... BUT THEY DID BILL ME!!!! I was informed I have to speak with my credit card company and get some kind of authorization code yada yada... I cancelled my order and have no idea how long it would take them to refund my money back to the card... HORRIBLE!!!!!! STAY AWAY!!!!!!!!!
