I got a very good price, and it was shipped promptly.The monitor I received from them had a defect, a dark spot near the center of the screen. I called Compudirect and they shipped me another monitor. They had me keep the first monitor until I was certain the new monitor was good, and then they had their shipper come out and pick up the old monitor. Overall it was an excellent experience as far as customer service."
"Ordered 3 items. Two were shipped and delivered in reasonable time and all 3 were charged to my credit card. Thirty-nine days have passed since my order and the 3rd item was never shipped. Numerous emails and phone calls to customer service went unanswered. When I was able to talk to a customer rep, at different times I was told, (1)"It's on back order", (2)"Item no longer available; will ship IN STOCK substitute", (3)"No have item you ordered originally; will be shipped tomorrow", (4)"Was shipped and tracking number emailed to you."
All runaround and lies! I told them to cancel the order and credit my CC account. Still waiting to see if that will be done.
Steer clear of compudirecpc, guys. They are the most untrustworthy online company I have ever dealt with!"
"On 12/19 after checking the website and seeing it listed the 1GB iPod Shuffle as in stock I called to verify that it was actually in stock. I was assured that it was and proceeded with the order. Later that day I received am email stating my order is now complete. Today (12/21) received a call from them stating that my shipment would be delayed by a week. I asked what the problem was and was told that their supplier had delayed their shipment and they wouldn't have them in for a week. My response was that I was assured that the item was in stock Monday when I placed my order and it would be shipped by today at the latest. He started making excuses and I just had them cancel my order."
"Terrible at this point! I ordered a new DELL UltraSharp 1704FPV 17-inch Flat Panel LCD Monitor. The price was great and the initial ordering was fine. The monitor arrived when promised. Now is when it hits the fan. The box had been opened and the VGA cable was attached to the monitor. The protective wrapper around the monitor had been removed and replaced poorly. The rest of the cables and the CD for the monitor was lying in the bottom of the box and not held in place by anything. The monitor had a small scratch (1/4 inch) on the surface of the LCD. The topper is that it was the incorrect model. They shipped a 1704FPT. When I called and spoke with “Igor” he explained that the monitor always has the VGA cable attached. Wrong! This model takes VGA or DVI so neither cable should have been connected to monitor when it was shipped. He also explained that they had to remove the protective wrapper to check the monitor and he was about to argue with me about the scratch until I told him it was the wrong model. He put me on hold and then came back and told me that they had indeed shipped the wrong model. He offered to either refund my money or ship the correct model immediately. I will give him credit because there was none of the “return what you have and we will send you what you ordered” stuff. I want the monitor so he said he would ship it now (12/16) and include a prepaid return in the box. I received an order shipped conformation today (12/17).
When I receive the order, I will update this post. All I can say at this point is stay far away!
Update. I finally received the correct order on 12/21. First let me say I was incorrect about the VGA cable being connected. Apparently that is the way Dell ships it, so I was wrong. This time I received exactly what I ordered. The packaging was correct and everything was neatly in place. The first monitor I received was obviously used. There is a protective plastic sheet on the face of the new monitor that was not on the first monitor. In addition, this packaging actually had the quick installation card with it. I am not happy about receiving a used monitor and I got the impression that had they not sent the wrong monitor, I would have had an argument on my hands. That being said, they got it right the second time. I would certainly look around before buying from these guys again."
