"I ordered a NEW motherboard from computerpartsdirect.us. After waiting 3 weeks for it to arrive I opened the package to find a used motherboard in very, very poor condition. It was full of dust, hair and rust. It didn't come in the original packaging and was missing almost every component it was described to come with on their website.
I know for a fact the motherboard I placed an order for was listed on their site as NEW.
I cannot believe that they would actually ship this part out to a customer who ordered a new one. The I/O sheild was all bent up, it didn't come with anything it was supposed to besides the driver disk and it was clearly very used and in very bad shape.
As of now computerpartsdirect.us hasn't replied to several emails and hasn't returned any of my phone calls.
I am very dissapointed and embarrased for this company and wouldnt even think about ordering fron them again. Buyer beware, false advertising, poor product description for what your actually going to receive and very poor customer service.

Well with the help of the Better Business Bureau and a lot of persistance on my part, I did manage to get an RMA # and a full refund from these guys on the junk motherboard. They paid to have it shipped back, but this was a huge hassle, definately wasn't easy to get done and took a long time. In the end I am happy, but will never make the mistake of ordering computer parts from these guys again. Buyer beware, lots of used and refurbished parts are sold by these people everyday and all of their descriptions for their products don't reflect the fact that they are just that. Good luck if you dare. "

However, we were not aware it took 4-7 days to process the order, so we had to cancel the order. "I agree with hthcllc completely. The same thing happened to me. Ordered an Archos 605 wifi 80GB what I got was the 30gb version. The seller wont return emails. If you are a brave enough to order with this company I suggest using a credit card so you at leave have some protection. Whatever you do, do not use PayPal and they will not do anything for you as long as you get any sort of item. "
"I'm pretty sure, when I ordered the product, the product page didn't say refurbished. Now, after I received my product, it has been updated to say it is. I could have been confused by Google Products (where the product is still listed as NEW), but I'm pretty sure I thoroughly read the seller web page. The product I received is very scuffed up, heavily used, didn't have the original manufacturer's installation CD, and still had an eBay notice from CompuVest stuck to the box! In addition, the "PID" printed on the product by the manufacturer has been covered by a permanent marker."

" I ordered an HP DL145 G2 server from them & they sent me an HP DL140. The 145 is an Opteron server and is TOTALLY different from the 140 Xeon server.
They offered me a refund but want me to pay for the $22 in shipping it will take to get the server back to them. This could have all be avoided if they had contacted me before shipping the wrong thing and asking if I would like a DL140 as a substitute. I would have politely declined and no one would have been out any money.
When you call their phone, it goes to a cell phone where the voicemail is full so it's impossible to leave a message. The only emails I have gotten back from this company have been very terse "return the item & we'll return your money". Nothing personal, nothing apologetic about the situation.
I don't think they have any of these servers in stock because they haven't offered to replace the wrong server they sent me. However, at this very moment, they are still offering them on their website.

Well, it seems the Owner found out what kind of service we received and E-mailed me to see if he could help resolve the issue.

End result: The owner has made good on his statement, Not only did he refund ALL are $$$ (including return shipping)but I feel he did everything in his power to make us a happy customer. He attempted to get us the server we ordered, When that didn't pan out we got are money back and a personal apology for the inconvenience.
I am sure this transaction cost him money, But it seems satisfied customers are more important than money to the owner.
I would not buy again unless I have a E-mail confirming the in stock status. But I WOULD buy and have no fear of getting ripped off.
I move my vote to 2 checks on the purchase
and
5 checks on the owners resolution to the problem.
