"I have had two different orders with Consolesource.com and both provided me with a radically different experience. The first order was for a blaster 360, a device used to flash the dvd-rom drive of your xbox to play back up copies of games. The price was the best I could find on the internet and they had a large selection of other similar products so you can shop assured knowing that you have access to a wide variety of products at competitive prices.

Unfortunately, the selection and the price were the only redeeming qualities of this particular order. The product took close to two weeks to arrive and when it did it was returned back to console source- the apt number wasn't listed on the package. To their defence I don't recall if I forgot to list it on my order or if it was a transcription error, but none the less 2 weeks seems like a long time. My real point of contention though lies with the service I recieved rectifying the problem, however. Firstly, wait times getting through to customer service were in the 20 minute range and that is even assuming some one is there to answer your call. I must have called at least 5 times at different times, on different days, during buisness hours and all I got was an electronic voice saying no one was there to take my call. To me, this was absolutely unacceptable. When i finally did get through, I had to repay the shipping cost of about 10 dollars. My credit card was charged 97 dollars. I'm not sure if this was a legitimate clerical error or consolesource trying to pull a fast one, but I had to get back on their customer service roller coaster to get it rectified. It eventually was, but by this time a month had passed from when I made my order and I had still not received my product. So another full week passes, and still nothing. I called them back up AGAIN only to found their customer service rep (it seems they only have one, and he's not really very pleasant either) had not yet processed my order. My blaster 360 finally arrived the following week (a month and a half after I placed my order) and to much to my dismay, it didn't work. I'm certain I followed the instructions to a T, and am 98% sure my xbox was flashable with this device. I did not decide, however, to return the product as console sources return program requires you to pay return shipping and an additional surcharge if they find your product working (and after the 97 dollar billing scandal I wouldn't put it past them to claim it worked, charge me the surcharge and then send me a new one). So needless to say, this was a very bad experience.

About half a year later, though, I decided to give console source another shot when ordering a flash cart for my ds (Cyclo evolution DS, great cart) mainly because they really do have the best prices and they're a Canadian company so I don't end up paying those nasty tariff charges at the post office. I will say that the second time things went as smoothely as could be expected. My item arrived in less than a week in great working condition and has been performing well in the past 3 months since I got it.

So my final thoughts on consolesource is that if your order goes smoothely, you've likely chosen the best retailer possible for these types of accessories. But if there's any sort of mix up and you need to talk to customer service, get ready for a headache. "
