"Support assist, product choice and delivery were excellent"
"The box came beat to death, and it was obvious that it had been opened and retaped before shipping as there were two sets of hardware and there was tape over the original tape. It was not overboxed as Crutchfield says it often does. One of the stands had some scratches in the powder coat as well. So, it appeared that the stands were either a floor model or a customer return as they were not in "new" condition. I decided to keep them as I was able to mask the scratches with a black Sharpie, and position them such that you cannot see the scratches. It would not be worth the hassle to return them.
This was my first purchase from Crutchfield. I have another purchase coming this week, so the jury is still out. Since the other purchase is an electronic component, I'm hoping it does not come in the same condition."
"I leveraged the chat feature during my online shopping experience and it was staffed by the same knowledgeable folks as if one called in. The item that I purchased went on sale a few days after my purchase and it was painless to have Crutchfield make the price adjustment for me."
"I have a 2004 Honda Civic. I thought getting a bluetooth enabled stereo installed was going to be really hard. Then I found Crutchfield. On the website, I entered my car make and model. Crutchfield gave me list of compatible stereos. I picked a nice middle-of-the-road JVC with good reviews. It came with free install package and the cabling. However, the cabling looked complicated as you needed to splice 18 different wires to existing wires on the Honda. That almost made me bail. But then I saw Crutchfield has a paid upgrade where they do it for you. You get the final completed wiring system ready go. That sold me, super easy.
So the JVC stereo, plug and play wiring, step by step install directions, and free shipping, it was $89 total. For me that's a deal.
The install was took about an hour and a half, probably because I'd read each step in the directions two or three times to make sure I really understood it. And, before I knew it, I was streaming music from my phone through bluetooth and listening to U2 pumping out of my old Honda speakers. Sounded great!
This upgrade makes my Honda feel like a new car. Pretty snazzy. And pretty inexpensive. Thanks for a smooth and straightforward transaction to a sweet new car stereo. "
"I dont know to much about current car stereos so when I called I needed a lot of help. The woman who answered (Diane) was very patient and walked me through everything. I didnt feel pressured to spend more than I wanted, she understood I'm 40 and not 18 so adapted to what I was looking for at this age in my life and I received what I purchased promptly and in good condition. Cant really ask for more than that with a company so 5 stars."
"The directions were online, but didn't go far enough in explaining what to do with the connectors at the factory amp. I called on a Saturday and was promptly guided through the process. I had to bypass the amp completely and plug the supplied harness into the factory connectors. The harness supplied is plenty long enough. I routed mine through the factory console along the passenger side and into the hole behind the passenger seat. The supplied plastic mounting hardware is cheap. There is no marking on which hole it should mount to on the receiver. I placed the receiver into the factory location and used that as a guide. Turns out, there is only one screw hole that lines up correctly. I used the largest screw supplied to secure it on each side. I hope it holds. I chose not to upgrade the speakers at this time."
"This was the second time purchasing this part. The first time was when I replaced the radio. It went bad which caused the battery to go dead. It took a while to figure out what the problem. By that time the battery was ruined and I had to get another. I ordered the part and hoped I could just swap out the module, but not so. The wiring connectors changed since the original installation. So I had to re-splice all of the wiring. And this time the wiring did not match exactly and I had long since discarded the replacement radio wiring diagram and none could be found online. What a hassle for a defective part. I contacted support and they weren't much help. So a day's work, $49 for the first part, $79 for the second part. If I'd known, I would have never replaced the radio in the first place."
"Looking to upgrade factory door speakers; asked questions about what to expect from a particular speaker upgrade and although any answer would be very subjective I found the answer given to be a useful description of what to expect in the sound."
"I am not a tech/ auto guy. Crutchfield helped me choose and when I had some trouble customer support helped me through."
"Everything is correct and installed without any issues just as I was told it would.

"Thank you for making the experience so seamless and positive! The radio works beautifully and it's a perfect fit for our 2006 Subaru Forrester. "
"I have ordered from Crutchfield since 1993 when I purchased my first set of sub-woofers. It was good then and is good now. I have a 2008 Civic sedan and the original speakers were going bad and sounded awful. I ordered 2 pairs of Kicker 6 1/2 CSC67s since they were on sale. After reading reviews, I felt they would be a good fit. I installed the rear speakers first and they went in with no problems! I opted to get the foam baffles and I think they helped with the sound. The mids and highs are good but the mid bass is lacking. That is fine as I will be putting a small sub in later. I sent the other set back since I wanted a bit more mid bass. They accepted them with no hassle. I then ordered a pair of Focal 6 1/2 ISC165s (on sale) and didn't realize they did not fit my car exactly. With a few minor mods (2 holes with nail for the screws and notch cut out with a razor) to the adapters that accompanied the speakers from Crutchfield, they fit with NO other issues. They sound great! The highs are crisps and the mids are real clear. The mid bass hits like they are running on an aftermarket amp and deck. I will be upgrading my deck in the future and will definitely use Crutchfield."
"Ordering was simple and informative. Of my three contacts, two were awesome, one was cryptic. By cryptic, I meant I was IM’ing CSR about radio options and he responded by sending me a link with no explanation, so after waiting in front of a blank screen, I finally had to ask what the link was for. It was like pulling teeth to get answers. When my equipment in two quick days, I called Tech. support. During the convo, our call was disconnected. The Rep. called back and emailed me. I emailed back, but no response. The next day I called Rep. back and LM. Rep. called me back much later in the evening (I got message next morning). I called Rep. back two days later, left a detailed message, and he never called back. So, my experience wasn’t “Five Star.” "
"Great customer service! Great Product! Easy Installation Instructions! I highly recommend!"
"The web site auto-configured the stereo selection tailored to my vehicle. Unfortunately, it did not do so with the accessories. A steering wheel control interface available for the stereo I selected was not compatible with my vehicle, and I didn't actually notice this until I went back to the site, and in the smallest possible font, it indicated it would not work. Otherwise, I've purchased home and car stereos from Crutchfield for about 25 years without a problem until now."
